They've remodeled the playground and I love it!Everything about it is so cute.The slides are smooth and end low to the ground too, which I think often gets overlooked.I just wish there were sunshades built in over the entire playground!

Great kayak launch ramp on the pier by the park. The park is super nice too, has some shade but the equipment is HOT in the summer so we really couldn't use the slide or climb up the rock feature.

Small park with plenty of parking and a gated playground so the little ones aren't going to wander off. Close to downtown Belmont and right on the rive so if you'd like to walk down to the dock and step out over the Catawba, you can do that.It looks like the entire park is ramped which is nice.Bathrooms available.

Belmont's Newest ParkFound this last week while out exploring. This park opened last Summer and is the most recent addition to Park and Recreation for Belmont.Locate on the upper reaches of Lake Wylie on NC 7 just South of US 74 or Wilkinson Blvd.Not a huge park but well designed with a fenced in Play Area for Kids with lots of swings and slides, Very secure and safe. Multiple picnic tables, some shelter and a nice path down to an Observatory Platform overlooking the Lake. When I was there not much to see of the Lake because of the drought. A Lot of mud flats and little water leading over to an Island. Also has clean restroom facilities.When the Lake is full, will be beautiful.If you have small Kids, a great place to take them, take a Picnic Lunch, walk around and enjoy

Beautiful clean park. Great for walking the dog. The riverfront is a nice view and has a large area to sit by the water. Very peaceful here. Never crowded in the mornings.

Cute park with river access near downtown Belmont. I had about an hour to kill and I was looking for a good spot to get a run in. While this park is right on the water I had trouble finding a consistent running path. I did see a few signs for two and three mile loops but those were in the neighborhood surrounding the park. There is a small dock to fish off of and with boat access. Also a small playground that was closed on my visit. Lots of trash and recycling bins. Just not the place I hoped for a nice running path- gorgeous river views though.

Neat construction of the playground equipment using what looked to be the tree's that were removed to make way for the grounds. They have the stumps that are (somewhat) safe for the kids to climb and a nice reminder of what was there in order to make way for the playground. The grounds are fenced which is GREATLY appreciated for our 2 year old who is hard to keep up with at times. Beautiful views of the river as well as the train track bridge just off in the distance. Grounds were immaculate, all trash and recycle was emptied and properly maintained.

Took my grandson, needed something to burn energy. This playground was so amazing! excellent, accessible equipment, soft, spongy surface and CANOPY SHADES!!

Very nice, and quiet park. The kids really enjoyed playing on the swings and slide. The play ground is made out of tree limbs.
