We stopped by here to check out their produce, especially the peaches. This place is a small, open air produce stand on NC 211, a couple of miles off US Highway 220, 3 or 4 miles south of Candor. All the produce looked nice, and we ended up with both white and yellow (Loring) peaches, 2 very nice cantaloupes, a small watermelon, some excellent looking okra and cucumbers, and several tomatoes - total cost of $18. We tasted the peaches and the cantaloupe and both were super, best of the young summer.

This place is great! I've been living in Candor for 13 years and I still haven't found anyone with better produce than Chappell's. The peaches are sweet and the prices are excellent. Not to mention the staff here are friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend

They let us taste the peaches before purchasing. They were very helpful in serving and transporting produce to the car. The prices were excellent and comparable to other places we were checking on but Chappells were the friendliest and helpful.

The very best produce found in the south!!! They don't need an ice cream stand in order to sell their fresh-grown produce. If you've never stopped it's your loss not only in flavor but your wallet too. Very friendly and helpful people work here. J Parsons

Great produce...got some peaches and tomatoes on my way home from the beach. Also got some spot-on directions to the Town Creek Indian Mound. This will be my go-to place from now on.
