Katz is a bit of a hike from home , but I was in the neighborhood getting my Pre-check renewed and had 30 minutes to spare. It is one of my all time favorite places especially when Lee is working. I used to take my son here when he was a lil guy. Ordered the Jim's way; potato pancakes with pastrami and 2 OE eggs. It's was outstanding! Katz is warm and welcoming in a NYC Deli kinda way!

There used to be a Katz Deli on Providence Road in Charlotte NC that I used to go to till they closed. Loved the place and it was great Kosher food. Not sure if it is related to this particular Katz Deli but this one is very good as well. With the popularity of Katz Deli in NYC the name Katz would probably be very common among Kosher Deli's.An old Friend of mine named Richard from college passed away several months ago. His wife Crystal was my youngest son's God Mother.When Richard passed, they help a memorial service for him which I attended. Very nice service and we will miss Richard.After the service, it was lunch time and looking on local restaurant on yelp, I found Katz Deli. Tucked away in the corner of a strip mall, it was a bit hard to find but I found it.Looked over the menu and got a Lox and Bagel with Red Onion, Cream Cheese and Capers. The bagel was amply cover with Poppy Seeds. Could not have asked for anything better.Got it to go and ate it at home along with a Corned Beef Sandwich for my wife.A bit out of the way from Denver NC but it was so good, I'm planning another trip in the near future.

My daughter told me there was a Katz Deli in Charlotte, I was totally surprised. We got here near closing but was still served with a cheerful smile and fast service. We ordered our favorites knishes and half sour pickles and of course, Cheese Cake! A wonderful foodie experience!

Charlotte's mediocre NY style deli. The pastrami in my sandwich was lacking flavor, too soft and over steamed. The round potato knish was underbaked and greasy also. The rye bread however was excellent, soft with a good crust.

I love to support small businesses. This is like a hole in the wall NYC deli. Don't expect any fanfare, it's barebones, no nonsense.We had hot dogs and a sub. Both were outstanding! It's fresh and delicious. I'm a fan of the pickles They know ppl by name and orders if you frequent enough - a neighborhood joint.

We got some delicious pastrami but honestly not as good as the one in NY. The portions were also smaller. My husband wanted tongue but they said they have not been able to get that for a number of months.. wonder what's up?Good to know Charlotte now as a good deli.

This is a great deli. It's not cheap, but it's not overpriced either. The corned beef and pastrami are both fantastic. Your sammie comes with a side and a pickle. They also have rainbow cookies flown in each week. They are delicious!

I was finally able to visit CLTs version of Katz deli. The staff was lovely, and I had the cashier put together a meal for me. I asked what four sandwiches should we have. We got brisket, pastrami, a pastrami Reuben and a sloppy Joe. Although not stacked high like in NY, all of the food was good. Each sandwich ran about $14 on average.

The food is 5 star. The chicken salad (my favorite) is wonderful. The Reuben is excellent. And any breakfast sandwich we have gotten has been spot on. This is the place you want to go to.
