Juniper Grill - Ballantyne

I've been wanting to try this place out for a long time now, so when a friend asked me to meet her for lunch, this place was an easy yes! Our waitress Maddie was very nice and made great recommendations from the menu. With her guidance, I decided on the Sante Bowl so good and my friend got the chicken avocado salad. We tried the cornbread and fries as well. Fries were perfection as I love a good fresh cut fry!! The restaurant was really cute in the inside as well. I definitely be returning since it's really close to home.

I came here with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday! We had a group of all ages. The restaurant and menu was very fitting for the occasion. I had this place on my list to try to I was looking forward to trying it out.The restaurant was clean, the service was good, but unfortunately the was below expectations. The chicken was dry and bland. The potatoes were okay but nothing to write home about. I wouldn't be in a rush to revisit.

Visited the restaurant for a friend's birthday. I ordered the 8 oz center cut & requested medium well. The steak returned well done & very dry. Ordered the center cut kids portion for my kiddo & her steak was presented well done & very dry as well. The server and manager apologized for failing to meet expectations and remade both steaks, the second steak was much juicer & easier to eat. I wish the steak came with another side, I think $40 for a lackluster steak & asparagus is a little expensive. My partner ordered the rotisserie chicken which was served with a bed of potatoes & an additional side. We dined outside which is enclosed like a sunroom. There's several tables to enjoy indoor & outdoor eating. Overall, decent experience.

Decided to have lunch here for my birthday since I've had this place on my to do list for some time now. I started with the skillet cornbread which was decent, and the sea bass with grits and spinach was really good even though the grits were a little cold. The romesco sauce pulled it all together for me. It's a nice casual spot with good service.

A Ballantyne Gem! Juniper Grill exceeds expectations. It's so much more than a grill. I'm talking about Jumbo Lump crab cakes that are divine. ALL Jumbo Lump!! My son had the short ribs and wanted a to-go order to take home. Yes, it was that good. While the meal was scrumptious, the dessert, vanilla crème brûlée, wasn't much to write home about. Perhaps that was the calorie gods trying to keep me in check, haha, yet the entree is what is making me want to come back for more.

Great Food and Service. The ahi tuna wonton was a highlight and the beef brisket quesadilla was yummy too. Michael was charming and helpful.

We liked Juniper Grill!We stopped by for a little Thursday date night and had a great meal! We had a coupon for a free appetizer so we ordered the brisket quesadilla of course. I followed up with a wood grilled romaine caesar salad that was 10/10. I didn't add protein but wish I would have. It would have been great with salmon. I tried my husband's shrimp @ crab enchiladas and LOVED. The creamy sauce on top was rich and flavorful while the inside was packed with big pieces of shrimp. I couldn't detect the crab but I did just have a bite or two. We didn't get any drinks and our meal came out to around $40. Affordable and tasty!We'll be back.

My husband & I found Juniper Grill's food quite a disappointment the second time we had it (ordered for pickup). Will say the roasted chicken was at least moist. The mashed potatos were over seasoned (too much salt & doubt the grease was real butter. . but there WAS grease!). It came with what they call "wood grilled" Asparagus. There were like 4 skinny asparagus stalks that were not only tasteless, they were PURE STRING! Tried cutting them with a steak knife and could get a piece without strands of string hanging off of it -- TRULY GROSS! Husband brought the stringy Asparagus back the next day (they're 4 mins. away). Some tall guy with "salt & pepper" colored hair (manager? owner??) took the so called asparagus, went to the cash register, grabbed a $5 bill & pretty much slammed it on to the bar with a "SMIRK"! Husband wasn't going to ask for any money from the CREEP, but after that reaction to what was meant to be constructive criticism, you couldn't pay us to go back! UGH!!!

Came here for dinner on a Sunday night and was seated immediately. My partner and I both ordered the Smokehouse platter where you can choose two meats. We both wanted bbq and rotisserie chicken as our two meats but we were informed they were out of rotisserie chicken so we opted for a full portion of the other meats we ordered. I had the ribs which had a weird taste and my partner had the brisket which he said was good but a little tough. Our server was friendly but he didn't follow up in a timely manner once our food was brought out to make sure we had everything and it was awhile before our waters were refilled. Overall, I would give them another chance as I did like the ambiance and it's close to home.

Juniper Grill is always delicious! Great staff and service! Neighborhood gem! My favorite is the grilled romaine salad with salmon!
