Joy of Tokyo - II

I love Joy of Tokyo! It's very good. The cost is incredible for the quality, truly. I rarely have a better meal at a Japanese steakhouse like Kampai or Myabi. Granted, there's not a show (you can look in a window to see your food being made if you would like to), but the cost to quality ratio is fantastic.

I didn't like it. Food was blend, veggies still raw, chicken very hard and chewy. You have to ask for sauce or the chicken is plain. Customer service was nice.

Went there tonight for dinner, it was okay . Nothing really impressed me. Just another Japanese restaurant. I have heard a lot of great things about this place, and it's always packed when we go by the restaurant . This place is clean , reasonable priced. The blonde girl at the register wasn't overly friendly. My expectations were not met! But the food was good!

Kind of your run of the mill take out Japanese place. Not great quality sushi or hibachi however prices are pretty dang low. They also started doing poke bowls which were decent.The service is fast - you order at the counter and food comes out in about 10 minutes if you're not in the midst of a busy lunch crowd.

We order (work) lunch from here regularly and the food has always been consistent. It's not anything impressive as far as Asian food goes but it's decent and satisfying if you just want a quick, hot meal. I've only ever stopped in at lunchtime and it's usually packed. Order ahead to avoid standing in line for long.

Ate lunch here today. It was, as it always is, consistent. The food is cooked to order. The seasoning is good without much msg if any. The counter people are always friendly and it is quick. The shrimp sauce is as good as any out there. It is not the best food I have ever had, it is the Honda Accord of Asian food. Not flashy or fancy, but works every time for what you need it for.

Good food, terrible attention to detailEvery time I order food from here half of what I ordered is missing. Salads, sides, sauces, are frequently missing from the order. If I order two of something I only receive one. Needless to say its frustrating, and requires further time investment to correct the many mistakes.I'm not sure if they are illiterate, careless, or their order system sucks, but I'm going to stop giving them my business so I don't have to spend so much money on just a few of the items I order.Edit: in addition to the order of Crab Rangoon mentioned below by the management, there was a salad missing as well (altogether my wife's entire meal besides one roll of sushi that we did receive). I ended up splitting my meal with her. They did reach out via phone to try and solve the issue. While appreciated, I don't have time to talk and make extra trips for a meal.

This place is great! The food is cooked to order large portions sizes! The dining room area was very clean and this was even when they were busy! I didn't have to wait long at all to get a great freshly cooked meal! The owner was there talking to guest in the dining room and went out of his way to speak to eat person there! You gotta go try this Joy of Tokyo!

I am disgusted. I wanted to try a new place with my mother. It's hot in the dining area, tv's are loud, and the decor is bland.My mother asked for no onions in her meal and was charged fifty cents. I ordered eel sushi, that had overcooked rice, soggyeel. and no texture except glue. I had ordered fried oysters. I couldn't even taste the oyster through all the breading, which also lacked flavor.I actually asked for my money back.This happens rare on a blue moon. We went to Zoe's next door and paid the same amount for more and better food.I might go back but only if they massively improve.

um yeah I just picked up my food. I am absolutely disgusted. My meat was not cooked how I asked and it tasted like fake fatty rubber. this place used to be so good. Extremely disappointed that I just wasted $20.
