Johnny Roger's BBQ & Burgers

We were in the area and decided to try this place out! Cute little bbq joint that seemed to have a lot of regulars, and that's always a good sign. The cashier was really sweet, she was patient and offered suggestions. I explained that this was our first time trying them out and was worried about holding the line up, but she was totally helpful! So A+ for service! I ordered a cheeseburger kids meal for my son with fries and the kids meals come with a free refillable drink, so he opted for fruit punch, which is just Gatorade, had I known that before hand I would have gotten him something else. He absolutely enjoyed his meal, before he was even finished he suggested we should come back! Lol. I tried one (okay maybe a few) of his fries, and those were some really yummy hot and fresh fries! Dare I say probably some of the best restaurant fries I've ever had. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich, with white slaw on the side and baked beans. You have to pay extra for a drink which is refillable, so not bad! I found both the pulled pork and the slaw to be lacking in flavor. However, when I added the slaw to the sandwich and topped it with the sweet bbq sauce, it was a great combination. The bottom bun was a bit too soggy for my liking, but the bbq sauce did what it was supposed to do overall. The baked beans weren't spectacular, but they were solid and better than most places. It's a tiny place, but they have outdoor seating, which is nice! The place seemed clean, and that's always a plus. There was someone in the back out of sight that was coughing their lungs out, I sure hope that person was not the one preparing the food a that can be a bit concerning. The two ladies working the front were very attentive and kept checking on us the entire time, brought us refills and were just so sweet. The service here is def something worth mentioning, I think we'll be back for sure to try some other items on the menu!

Easily one of the best burgers I had.Service was nice and friendly. Establishment clean and it wasn't busy on a Saturday at 2pm. I am super surprised because the food was delicious.

It was ok for a quick meal, but not sure I'd go back. My wrap was good, but the mac and cheese looked nothing like the website. It was dry and all smashed like it was the last in the pan. It was stuffy inside, but outside was pleasant. The workers were very friendly.

I can see why this is an award winning gem. We stopped by on a Saturday night. They were a little busy, but nothing outrageous. I ordered the BBQ Ranch burger with Sweet potato fries and sweet tea. My burger was perfect and I really enjoyed my fries. They have four sauces to try. I used the thick n Smokey since it seemed the closest to a classic sauce. Even the sweet tea was just right. The service was great. The cashier took our order with ease and the food was out pretty quickly. They also checked on us a couple times during our meal. The inside is a little small but cozy. They offer plenty of two and four tables. There is probably enough room for a group of six in the front. They also have several picnic tables outside.

AMAZING! In my experience when you get burgers to go they tend to be soggy and cold but not these. My husband and I loved the burgers, fries were okay and baked beans were sweet and tangy. My husband said the service was quick. Highly recommend! The goat burger is the one I had and loved it.

I love that Concord has developed Gibson Mill to be a location in Concord to meet friends, play games, shop, and eat, Johnny Roger's BBQ & Burgers is one eatery you have to check out. If you like BBQ you will not be disappointed. The meat was so tender and had little to no fat - and the sauce was amazing! Select a side or two and a beverage and you will be set for a great meal. It was busy when we went but the line flowed nicely. You place you order, then wait for your meal to be ready. There are plenty of tables and chairs to sit at. Whether it's inside or out you shouldn't have trouble finding a place to sit. You can get your food to go as well. I did notice several people ate in the food court area or outside. I think it was because of the great vibe Gibson Mill has for all ages! So glad you are at Gibson Mills, See you soon!

My wife and I decided to try a new place for lunch and we ended up here. The staff was very friendly and the menu was pretty good. The building was pretty small but there was some indoor seating and several picnic tables outside. Our orders were fulfilled pretty quickly and the food was good. I ordered the small pork plate and would have been very happy if that was the portion for the large plate, it was very generous! The pulled pork itself wasn't smoked and seemed that the seasoning was added after it was pulled,it wasn't bad, but I've had better at other places. The Mac and cheese was good as well as the Brunswick stew. My wife ordered a dessert that was like a milkshake with m&ms and there were so many m&ms in it, it was ridiculous!We will definitely be back as we want to try their burgers. We were also very pleased to see such a high sanitation score.

Now this place definitely set the bar really high with there amazing burgers and outstanding customer service. Brandy and Eddie made this a perfect "New Restaurant of The Week" experience. I arrived an hr before closing but that didn't stop them from providing excellent customer service as if I were the first customer of the day. I ordered the Holla Back Burger and the Birdhouse Bowl and IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT. It was so good I finished one burger and immediately got up to order a 2nd. They have burger of the week and even specials on burgers on certain days. This place was 10/10 I definitely recommend and will be back. I think one of my favorite part was the self serve sauce station because sometimes I go a little sauce crazy lol. I was a huge fan of the Thick & Smokey BBQ Sauce. I'm getting hungry thinking about this place. I can't wait to return.

Wowww this place make a good burger! Fries were decent--the onion rings looked amazing so next time I will order those! It's located inside the concord Gibson mills market and I think they need about 5 more locations please...
