No longer anti-ramen, my husband joined me for another visit to Jinya in Southpark...We started by sharing the Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna...then the Spicy Chicken Ramen for my husband and the Spicy Umami Miso Ramen for me...then we ended by sharing the Panna Cotta dessert. My husband ordered some beer (?), as usual...and I tried their Matcha Lemonade Mocktail.Well, I personally loved all...from app to dessert...and even the mocktail! I'm so glad I decided to try the Spicy Umami Miso Ramen...think it's the best ramen I've tried at any of the Jinya locations. One disappointment was that they were out of Bamboo shoots (Huh??), a side topping that I was hoping to add. I ended up ordering Corn on the side.My husband liked his ramen, but thought it was a bit underwhelming. I felt that if he ordered what I had, he wouldn't have felt that way. Oh Well. He seemed to really enjoy the Panna Cotta. I've always loved their version of Panna Cotta as well.Overall, we enjoyed the dining experience here...and at least I thought they deserved all 5 stars.

Service and food quality has gone down since our first visit a year ago. Limited menu, the sushi grade salmon is inedible do not recommend- it is not fresh sushi salmon but looks and tastes like it was preserved in brine or something - very disappointing. The ramen soup we soup at least count on for flavor and quality but that too on our last visit left a lot to be desired and that was after waiting almost an hour to be seated while watching folks coming in and being seated before us.Words that come to mind - disorganized, and too expensive for the quality.

I've been to this location about as many times as the original location downtown. Parking is about the same hassle here as it is downtown. My last visit was during the Jinya anniversary. The staff wasn't knowledge about the deals they were offering. I'm glad I took a screenshot so I could show my server. The pork bun was not a favorite for me. Too fatty and full of mayo. Two things I don't like. The ramen was ok to me but my mom loved it and wants to go back for more. She also loves the chicken thigh appetizer. Overall this is ok Ramen and Japanese apps in Charlotte but I feel like there is better flavor at other restaurants. Over the past year, the service has continued to drop at this location. First, lack of ingredients for on-menu items from ramen to drinks which always made ordering a bit of a crapshoot. Then it was the poor service and canceling new menu items shortly after they came out.Today, was probably the worse yet, food came out like warm and best and drinks, ordered well before the food, didn't come out until after we were pretty much done. When we asked for a status when the food was delivered we were told, the bartender was finishing them right then, but 15 minutes later we still didn't have them. And we didn't order complex drinks unless you call old fashioned complex.Waiters were wandering around aimlessly and zero managing drinks at the bar, and it's not like they were slammed with diners. I wouldn't be shocked if this place folds in the next year if things don't change.

Never had a desire to try ramen outside of the cheap ramen packets you get at the grocery store ....but while visiting Charlotte, my friend picked this restaurant. I went begrudgingly lol. But to my surprise, I loved it. I loved it so much I ate lunch with my friend and then.... I was scheduled to meet my cousin before my drive back home immediately after I ate lunch with my friend . I ended up just having my cousin met me at Jinya and I did another round of food . Server was really kind despite us being a little needy lol. It has a cool laidback vibe. The bar area is really dope! I loved it so much I found that there are locations here in GA where I live.

5 star service. Kid meals serve ALOT. In my opinion Jinya has the best ramen in Charlotte, I know folks might find that offensive but it's big parte la Vida. The bar was YUGE. Great place for a date night or have a friend dinner or family time.

The edamame and chicken wings were delicious! The small Chashu Chicken bowl was yummy, with a cool 1/2 egg, ground chicken, rice, and two kinds of mushrooms, topped with scallions. Service was very speedy. We were thankful because we were hungry after a long day of shopping. There is a hip vibe to this restaurant. They have a pretty large sized full bar almost as you walk in. Very nice.

Overall it was a pretty good experience today. I came early evening to get my sushi fix. My server was NICK and he is still in training. Nick had a pleasant attitude and wants to do well. Be patient with new servers because we all have to start somewhere. Anyway, I tried 2 new menu items today and I was NOT disappointed. First was the matcha lychee lemonade under the MOCKTAILS. ADDICTING! It was sooo good and I had to refrain from ordering a second. I'm getting it again. And I'm going to be matching a knockoff at home. The next new item that I tried was the Salmon Aburi Oshi-Sushi. Them thangs SLAPPED! I needed another order, but again, no need to be a big back. I will need to order it the next visit. I wanted sushi but not a lot because I knew I was ordering ramen so this was perfect. Soooo good. Lastly, I got the JINYA Tonkotsu Black ramen. I added broccolini which comes on the side because it's crispy. The little trees SLAP haha. I got it the last time I was here because the previous waitress told me to try it and it's been a need since. The ramen did what it do for sure. The only thing that I didn't like was the egg. This is my second time at this location and the egg is never how I'm used to it at the other location. This one doesn't have that nice sweet offset taste or same texture. I usually am someone who orders extra egg, but I can't because it just tastes like regular boiled egg and I, oddly enough, don't like those. Hahaha weird I know. Anyway, I'll still be back. An egg won't stop me. I need that sushi and the matcha lemonade STAT!
