Jims Seafood Market

Found Jim's online while searching for whole fish (all the grocery stores were out). Pleasantly surprised to find this gem!! The fish was fresh and customer service was top of the line! Definitely recommend this local spot!!

Your one stop shop for fresh seafood. Jim's has it all: tilapia, red snapper, flounder, bass, shrimp, etc. He also has seasonings, breaders, hush puppies and all of your seafood condiments. Just pick out your seafood and they'll clean it up for you in minutes. Check it out!

Same market...new management. Good variety of seafood. New owner is friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are decent and seafood quality is great. This is my "go to" spot for now.

My best friend brought to Jim's when I was visiting from out of town and I can't wait to get back to Charlotte to go again! The place was clean, the staff was super welcoming and polite, and the food was served hot and fresh. I recommend that anyone who loves fish to go to the Jim's; there's a good variety to choose from to satisfy even the pickiest fish eaters.

is that Lobster "fresh"?A).. Yes, its "fresh"... the guy goes in the back... brings out BOX w/ 2 Lobster tail........FROZEN!!!!Q) Are you sure thats "Fresh"....A) Yes, its "Fresh"??? when does FROZEN (in a box) = FRESH??

Fish is old not fresh and the woman has an attitude problem. I went early in the morning when they first opened they were pulling fish out of the backyard from a crate of water (not the porgies lol)the woman wanted to argue over 30 cents because I said to her to remove the tray before she weighed my fish because the tray adds to the weight of the fish (that's already overpriced) and I'm not buying the tray she got upset and tried to convince me that the tray don't add more weight so she recalculated it without the tray and it was 30 cents cheaper lol They also did not clean my fish well left fins and scales on the fish. When I got home I had to de-fin and de-scale the fish with my shears lol

They tried to sell me some super small crabs for $40 a dozen. Then said they where number twos no ma'am. I have paid $40 a dozen for some full meaty blue crabs that were actually number ones. I'm from the south and have also lived in Maryland so what we not going to do is discuss crab quality. Then the lady had the nerve to tell me what someone paid for Maryland crabs. That's fine but these are not Maryland crabs as she claim them to be. Only went here because my original place didn't have any until the next day. I guess I'll be waiting until tomorrow. This place hasn't been the same since they switch owners.

This place was not bad. Better than my expectations. The atmosphere is clean, the owner is very professional and knowledgeable of his product(s). Would highly recommend if you are seeking quality season at an affordable price.
