Great home-cooked food and great value! We stopped here for breakfast before road-tripping back home. Just a great, family-friendly diner. I had the 1-egg plate with sausage, home fries, and toast. The kids had HUGE pancakes with bacon and hash browns. Very simple, well-cooked food. If I can recall correctly, I don't think anything was over $10-$12 dollars. (Cash only btw! But they have an atm inside) I wish we had places like this in Charleston. Sometimes it's hard to find unpretentious and unassuming places that treat their patrons like family instead of pandering to the tourists or trying to keep up with the trends. I wish the place was closer but...it gave me all of the nostalgia and the feeling of comfort away from home.

I went to Jimmie's one time. The service was ok, nothing special. The food was also ok, nothing special. I asked for soft-scrambled eggs and got hard scrambled (a pet peeve). The bacon was chewy, not crispy. Haven't been back, nor will I.

Jimmie's has decent food at excellent prices. The waitstaff is VERY unique...some of them are just plain crazy, but they do a decent job at serving. This is just a hole-in-the-wall place, tucked beside Gary's BBQ.

Jimmie's is a great breakfast place! Everything is very affordable and delicious. I always get their biscuit egg and cheese sandwiches(biscuits are homemade and so good) and my husband gets the biscuits and gravy which is equally appetizing. It's not a fancy place, but if you're looking for a good inexpensive home cooked breakfast you won't find a better place!

This is probably the best place in the area for a homestyle breakfast at a reasonable price. Will you always get your eggs and bacon 100% exactly to the Nth degree the way you want each and EVERY time? Maybe not but neither will you anywhere else. What you will get is good food, reasonably quick, at a fair price and it will taste good. "Unless" you're one of those whiny, picky types that "no one" can please.

We were eating breakfast this morning at a boot when an older gentleman sat at the bar. Coffee was served and he appeared to place his order. He stepped out for less than a minute and when he returned a waitress had piled dirty dishes on the bar right beside his stool. He appeared to say something to the woman behind the bar and she responded. teh waitress then sat some omre dirty dishes on the bar as the woman behind the bar was removing them. He promptlyh got up and I heard him as he saidn to cancel his order as he had lost his appetite. he paid the cashier for something and left. (I would not have paid anything.) I have dined here before and have never seen an employee pile up dirty dishes where customers sit and eat. I can not blame him fo rlosing his appetite. I'm willing to bet he won't be back and we may not either after what we saw. I wonder what the health dept. would think about this??
