JERK & JUICE

I absolutely love me some Jamaican food, so was eager to try them. I got the jerk chicken with cabbage and a side of Mac. I loved the jerk sauce, had like such a sweet heat flavor and chicken was very tender. The Mac tho I was not a fan of. I love love love mac and thought I'd never say mac had too much cheese, but it literally was just huge blobs of cheese with very few noodles. The ratio was totally off. However the flavor was amazing so it does have potential, if the ratio was we as on point.

Jerk and Juice was more like Jerk and Dry! We ordered 3 plates of Jerk chicken to go and every last piece of chicken on those plates were dry or sat way too long on a hot oven. none of us could even enjoy our chicken. I've had this location before and don't recall the food tasting or the chicken being dried out. I can't give a decent review of the chicken other than it being dry. Even the thigh part was dried out. I had chicken and cabbage with my food which was decent but not enough for me to return. I think their focus has shifted to the bar in the back.

Wanted some Jamaican food for date night and came across this place. The food was really good and they gave us plenty for leftovers. The vibes were nice as we dined in. Overall, I would come back to try other items on their menu. Also if you go you have to get their fruit juices. Really good and flavorful!

The rice and beans were tasty and the jerk sauce gave it extra flavor. The jerk chicken was nice and seasoned but could have been spicy. For jerk chicken there was no spiciness at all. The collard greens were a little uncooked for about liking, and they were dry with no taste to them. The plantains I did not like it all. The plantains were dry with no taste to them. It was almost eaten a rotten banana with the skin on that was dehydrated.

My family and I were miserable trying to eat this $85 meal ($72 + $13 tip). They were miserable because their oxtails were nasty, and I was miserable because I had to head over and over again how much I had just wasted my money. The oxtails were ridiculously expensive, only to be tiny, watery, and entirely lacking in spices and seasonings. I essentially paid $30 for four tiny, boiled, season-less oxtails, per each of the two plates that we ordered. The ~entire~ meal, my family is complaining about how disappointed they were, how I should ask for my money back, how tasteless and unenjoyable the meal was. No one finished their oxtail plates - no one wanted the leftovers. Between that, and my average jerk chicken, this was $85 down the trash bin. We'll never be coming back here again.

Jerk chicken was dry and overcooked. Was very disappointed and will not come back! Would give it a 1 star rating!

I've been searching for the best jerk in Charlotte and this was my third stop! I got a small jerk chicken meal with rice and peas with a side of cabbage and plantains. I liked that the jerk sauce wasn't gravy because I'm not a huge fan of gravy with jerk chicken. Certain pieces of chicken weren't as fresh but the fresh pieces were tender! I also felt the jerk lacked a bit of flavor. Next time I may ask for more sauce to see if it'll make a difference. The cabbage was soft like I like it with nice flavor! The rice and peas was good as well! I'd definitely try it again!

By far the worst Jamaican food I've ever tasted I will not be returning rice and peas had absolutely no flavor Mac and cheese was about the only decent thing I got the veggie chunks and absolutely not!! Idk what kind of veggie this is but no it's not it & ALSO THE MOST important item of the meal the coco bread how can you mess that up it was old and tasted like wine ew never again so disappointed I wasted 28$ just for it to go in the trash! I WANTED TO LEAVE NO STARS BUT THAT WASN'T AN OPTION!

Jerk chicken was great! Goat was good and Yams were delicious, they were out of some things but the food was still delicious!
