Italian Garden & Pizzaria

I love this place! The food is great, the staff is great, but yeah, the interior could use an update. But who cares? When the food is this good, it is not necessary to nit-pick looks. First, the house dressing is outstanding. I will go in just for this. Then, I tried the chicken and honey-mustard pizza. Sounded interesting but wasn't sure if that was a good or bad thing. All I have to write is, "wow!" I will 100% be back for this again and again. My new favorite pizza. I could tell the crust and ingredients were fresh. My favorite and only Italian restaurant now. I found the best so no need to look further.

Ahhh Italian Garden, where to start...I came in yesterday on my lunch break hoping to get what would be some delicious Italian cuisine. I don't usually try to judge off dated buildings because sometimes these are great restaurants nonetheless. Unfortunately, this was not the case. I walked in and the atmosphere was far from inviting; me being me I still wanted to give it a fair chance. One waitress sat at a booth on a laptop, I assume or hope it was work related, another sat in the front at a table working on something else. Eventually one of them came to me and took my order; I decided I would try the app sampler and lasagna with a salad. I asked the waitress how the lasagna was and based my main dish decision on her answer as she said it was a liked dish. The salad arrived first within a couple of short minutes with no love added to the plate. A small slice of tomato a couple carrots. The lettuce, though we know brown/pink lettuce is safe to eat, was unappetizing so I picked through it and slid it to the side as I waited.Seconds after my two bites of salad, the sampler included 2 fried butterfly shrimp, 2 mozzarella sticks, 2 mac and cheese bites, and the rest was fried pickles with ranch for dipping.It came out quickly, truthfully a little too quick. Shortly after I bit into the mac and cheese bite I understood why I felt this way, there was still a wintery mix in the middle. Each mac and cheese bite frozen in the middle, rubbery mozzarella sticks however I enjoyed the shrimp and pickles. Presentation wasn't turning any heads but moreso disheveled on a plate. Taking a little more time to ensure all food is properly heated through is a must and keeping in mind we eat with our eyes first. I got through as much of my sampler as I could, and awaited my main dish. I got the lasagna piping hot which is always a plus. Dug into it with my fork and could tell by the smell it would be subpar. Again I proceeded to dig into my first bite. After tasting, it lacked character and instead of rising to the occasion and being the star of the show, it took a seat in the corner and left me wanting more. Adding more flavor complexity would do this dish justice as it was very one note. Italian Garden, I believe with some work things could become a myriad of great flavors and experiences. Instead of focusing solely on getting food out (because we love a timely meal), the quality it just as important. The goal is an experience and to leave happy, full AND satisfied!Signed- Sunnyy

It's ok. Y'all need to clean out the fridge in front of the cashier because that's a health code violation!!!!! There is definitely a man running this restaurant. We need old school Italian WOMEN running this ish xoxo

So much to say about this place. All of the Italian food is sub par. The only saving grace this place has is the chicken combo sub and chicken combo pizza. The thing about it is I have to order the pizza done well or I'll get a doughy soft pie. The sub is always hit or miss too. Sometimes its got plenty of meat and other times it has little to no chicken. I don't understand how you can serve me a chicken sub with five pieces of chicken on it. I have never had a problem with the service. They are always on time and friendly, but a restaurant is about food. I almost always order out now bc the place just creeps me out.

Unfortunately the food was sub par. No taste, some of what we ordered was cold, server seemed annoyed at life and was unpleasant. To top of off the blinds on the windows we sat next to were absolutely filthy and looked like they've been accumulating dirt for years. I won't be going back.

Nice environment, good place to go on a date but it's not my favorite. It's like a place that's there but I just don't really enjoy there food that much. There service is great I just wish they'd build on to it and some of the employees look like drug addicts. If they're not addicts they look like it. But 3 stars is the most I'll give it for there's nothing special about this place.

Okay so 3 stars is being kind and I only give them that because the wait staff and was really nice. If I had to judge the place just by the wait staff they would get 5 stars however the food.. yikes. Okay so we stopped by a few weeks ago and I had a Greek chicken salad small size, my daughter had chicken fingers and fries and for our dessert a piece of chocolate cake.The chicken Greek salad had one tiny tomato on it - when I say tiny I mean like the size of your thumbprint. It was not enough food for a meal and so we ordered the chocolate cake slice to help with that and because we love chocolate. Y'ALL. This thing felt like it had been in the fridge for at least a few days (very cold). It wasn't moist at all completely dry and even the icing didn't have a good flavor. Maybe we will be back in a year or two to see if it's improved but for now our business will go to the Italian place in downtown Kings Mountain.

I found these pics while cleaning up my photos on my phone and remembered I forgot to review this place after attending an anniversary party back in September 2019. The pizza was forgettable for sure. If I return, I would order other options. The all meat pizza included some unidentifiable saucy ground meat. The service for the large party was great though!

Food was good service was good only thing that could have been better was the parking , hard to get in and for as busy as this place is the parking is hard to accommodate .

We ordered takeout. The person taking the order was very helpful with our order.The food was delicious not one thing was missing.
