Ishi Japanese Restaurant

Ishi hasn't opened for dine in. They are carry out only and they open later in the day. We called ahead and our food was ready when we arrived. The portion size are huge. Love the carrots. I am not to certain about the beef. The flavor is off to me. So I'll stick with the vegetables.

My go to Hibachi spot. Bad day? Ishi. Good day? Ishi. Mid day? Ishi. They bless with the amount of food and they cook it perfectly. My favorite is the chicken and steak with all the veggies and add mushrooms.

Ishi used to be our go-to date night spot for sushi and hibachi. They had great prices on excellent quality and sized sushi. However, we haven't been back since the pandemic shut them down to carry out only. We keep hoping they'll open back up and offer dine-in, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen 4 years later. We live 35 mins away, so takeout isn't feasible and we don't want to eat in our car in the parking lot. If they ever open back up entirely, we'll be back!

The cream sauce was unlike any other i ever had. Absolutely terrible. The steak had a very weird taste. I love hibachi food, i would NOT recommend this place. I went at 5:30pm on a Tuesday and no other customers were there. It just seemed very unsanitary and distasteful.

Good hibachi !! Very filling and seasoned nicely . The broccoli was a hit or miss for me . Loved the white sauce as always ! The sushi looks good so I will try that next time .

Restaurant in the University area (in the Home Depot) shopping area). Great portions, very good food. Service was good as well. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is the restaurant itself appears to be in need of upgrading or cleaning. Menu was sticky, floors were concrete and not clean. Will definitely come back...likely take out though.

Was really craving some Hibachi so I tried out Ishi. The hibachi was really solid, nothing too special about it. The portions were great but I wasn't really a fan of their sauce that came with the Hibachi. Overall a pretty solid place for hibachi with their price and portions.

So, I was mostly impressed with the PRICES of the hibachi meals...I mean, $8.99 for STEAK hibachi? Come on! Definitely a steal! The food was made fresh and you got a plate FULL of food, rice, veggies and steak...what's NOT to like? We went a little over an hour before closing so it wasn't really busy. We sat where we wanted and the server - the ONLY server there was great! He made sure our drinks were full and our food came out in a very timely manner. I have no complaints about this place. The music was even on point. Definitely a nice experience...and $8.99 steak hibachi...ya'll...don't sleep on this place!! I feel like I shouldn't tell ya'll because now it will be packed...UGH.

This used to be our favorite local sushi spot. We keep trying them, but they just continue to go downhill. Adding more rice to the rolls, wrapping too loose, so all falls apart. Orders two different rolls tonight, and they left out eel in one roll and salmon in the other (as listed on the menu). Definitely need to find another good sushi spot.

Appears to be takeout only. Questionable as to whether it was actually open or not. If you're looking for dine in, skip this one.
