Food selection was huge and original. Food was actually very good service was excellent. I highly recommend eating here. Next time we are down this way I will stop in again

I am a biker bar kind of guy, this one is between a nice place and a dive. I enjoyed the atmosphere here. Friendly staff, really cold beer! What more could a girly ask for. I dig it!

Like to try new places. This was a disappointment. Some say the food is good. I must disagree. Got the sirloin steak medium rare with mashed and green beans. Green beans were great. Then tried the steak. It was cooked right, medium rare. From there it went quickly down hill. This was the toughest steak I have ever remember eating. My fork would barely penetrate it. Cutting it moved the meat from side to side. It was riddled with gristle and sinew. I definitely will never order that if I come back. The music was very loud. Holding a conversation would be difficult at best. Leaving with a headache. Waitress's are service challenged. Not once did the waitress stop to ask how my food was. The guy who bussed the plates did not ask either even though he could see alot of steak left on the plate. Tells me they know they sell food that gets complaints if they ask. It was also a job to get a drink. Guy next to me was whistling at the waitress to get service. I worked after a half dozen attempts. She was not busy either instead she was listening to the music and shuffling around. Not a place I would bring my kids. Wouldn't recommend to a friend either. Got to be better places.

By far one of the best bars n the city of Monroe, NC. On a quiet weekday, the mix of 90's Top 40's alt rock and 70's Classic rock. Matched with a chrome topped bar and siding instantly gives you the feel of a biker bar. If there were any doubt, the massive chopper mounted in the foyer will dispel any uncertainty rdgarding the theme of the tavern. The food is exceptional. The environment is dynamic and unpredictable. The food is made to order and everything I've had there, from the Bacon Wrapped Shrimp to the Cajun Dry Rub Wings, has been exceptional.I highly recommend the pizza. Succulent, local grown diced tomatoes pervade the marinara sauce.

Great shuffleboard!! Food is great and all the NFL you can stand!However, IF...you are Anywhere in the vicinity of any type of altercation created by someone else, and you protect or defend yourself; be prepared to be told on your return visit that you are no longer allowed in there for food or drink.*It is unfortunate that a Regular patron can no longer frequent their favorite new bar & grille as a result of someone else's choice to act violently out of drunkenness.But, the food is great. You should go.

First off I would like that state that my brother and I went to another restaurant for lunch before coming to Iron Thunder and were very disappointed in the OTHER establishment. Then decided to go to Iron Thunder. It was a brisk afternoon and we were in the mood for some warming alcohol. We walked in the front door and saw many people having fun and enjoying themselves, so we were excited. Sat down at the bar and Maddie quickly and efficiently asked for our order. She offered many suggestions and was able to Steer us in a direction of culinary excellence. We enjoyed many cold beverages and numerous televisions to watch our NFL games on Sunday. There were unruly guests sitting at the other side of the restaurant and Maddie and the staff were able to easily handle the difficult situation. As the evening progressed, the service provided by the Iron Thunder staff continued to be excellent. We enjoyed our delicious draft beer and continued to enjoy the service provided by the Iron Thunder staff. Will Most certainly be returning soon.

I do like this place because there wings are good, and we come here all the time but recently I went there and Krystal was our server we got a drink that the bar. And it didn't not taste how it normally taste and so we asked her to remake it. She made a big deal and rolled her eyes then slammed the drink down. For the rest of the service me and my friend felt like we were bothering her. I will not come here till she is gone!!

showed up at 7:30 told we couldn't eat they were closing ...WTF How does a bar not even have enough staff to stay open past eight o'clock

Always a good time and great specials.Service is always great.The laid back atmosphere makes you feel at home.

Bad, bad experience!!! Started out asking for drinks in a short glass, 3 x's and got a large glass. Red flag #1. Ordered pizza, how can you screw up pizza? Large Pizza came and cheese was burnt, the ground beef may have even been burnt, hard to tell since each bite you took tasted burnt, crust was fine. It was so bad that we only ate 1/2 piece each and left the entire rest of the pizza when we left. 7 + full slices. I wouldn't even feed it to my dog!!After a couple of drinks we decided to have a shot and be on our way, but we were informed that our regular drinks had to be empty before they could give us a shot, really!! We have drank many places in NC before and it has never been an issue. Absolutely do not recommend this place, go elsewhere!! We will not be back!!
