Hunan Wok

We usually order take out from Sun Ming but they were closed so we decided to try Hunan Wok. My husband enjoyed his Singapore Noodles and the extra veggies and said it felt "lighter and fresher" than Sun Ming's version. The chicken and broccoli stir fry was horrible. It was swimming in a sticky brown sauce that had a strong fishy flavor, which is not what you wanna taste when you're NOT eating fish. I also requested a side of fried rice (instead of white rice) and instead received (and charged for) an entire order of bland fried rice.We won't be ordering from Hunan Wok ever again.

The food here is good. I came here on a busy night a couple weeks ago and watching the lady at the counter answer the phone calls, take orders and help others in the line place an order or pay for an order with such ease was quite a sight to see. She has a system and it works. They have a good size staff in the kitchen cooking all the food too and everything back there looked clean. I like how they don't hide the kitchen in the back, so you can see them all working hard to fulfill orders with nothing to hide. This was my first time ordering from here and when I got home, I was surprised to see how big of a portion I got! It was well worth the money! It was delicious too. I will be back.

My go to place for quick Chinese in the Irmo area. Food has always been satisfactory with accurate orders and tasty food. Be sure to call ahead to place your order. Gets very busy.

Another great experience at Hunan! The steamed dumplings are my new favorite. I could drink the sauce that came with it. Nicely cooked and good flavor. The shrimp lo mein was pretty good. Lacked a little flavor but got the job done! The restaurant is always clean the and staff is always nice and helpful.

Very fast. This place is one of the three best Chinese Restaurants in the Columbia area. It has only capacity of about 20 people, but they are always busy with take out orders.

Great food and service . I love the dumplings and veggie lo mein. Always have leftover for the next day.

Food is always hot and you get plenty to eat! Had sesame chicken and pork fried rice. Chicken was tender and tasty. The egg roll that comes with the dinner is pretty basic. For take out it's good value.

If you are looking for fast food chinese this is a good option. Not healthy by any means but if you have a craving it'll work.

This has been our "go-to" Chinese restaurant for years now. Fast service and great tasting food!
