Hot Mess Burgers

My friend told me about this burger spot and we decided to try them for dinner. Everyone got a burger after tasting it I would say they're were worth every dollar! The donut burger was very interesting. I tried a bite, and I can see why people would like the Sweet n Savory flavor. I however, got the single with caramelized onions, which was perfect. Definitely would eat here again.

They have Amazing food!!! Their Burgers and onion rings are the bomb!! We have also had the burger salad which was a healthy alternative if you didn't want the full burger.

This place is tucked away in a red storage container off of Highways 601. Don't let that fool you because the food is top tier. Fries are always crispy, burgers are always fresh, and staff is always friendly. Great place to get food for the family.

UPDATE: Had to come back and update this review since my last visit a few years back. So um...I don't normally eat things like this, but me and my BF decided to try the OMG, and OMGahhhhh...it was perfectly amazing with a blend of sweet and savory, my mind was blown. Try it. Just try it. You won't have ANY regrets. And the fries were okay. We sat outside at the picnic tables and it was a pleasant day. So all in all, I loved this way more than before. Y'all won me over. I'll be back!

Hot Mess on rt 218 in Midland/Fairview, NC where the service is fast and the burgers and fries are plenty good!It seemed hit or miss on the hours the were open fall of 2023 and early spring but now seems more consistent. It's a great place to pick up some burgers and fries for a quick meal on the way home

I really like this cute, little burger spot. My son and I were in the area picking strawberries and went to Hot Mess after for some lunch. Everything was made fresh and served hot. The Parmesan fries were delicious. My burger was good, but could have been seasoned more. I really like the outside seating, but do wish they had a bathroom available.

Recommend: Not impressed.The wait to order was incredibly lengthy, food was barely mediocre - at best. Ordered nearly $100.00 of food and from the entire family partaking in the food, no one was impressed. All this being said, it's an independent business located and isolated on a lonely side of the road, with one intersection way out in Stanfield, NC. I LOVE to stop into small eateries, I always have, but this business just didn't inspire. The food wasn't bad so please don't misrepresent this, I just won't be returning.

Sadly this place is going down hill. We came here recently and the food just didn't seem the same quality as it's always been. It's also crappy they don't have the same onion rings they used to! This used to be my favorite burger in the area but sadly it's not up there anymore.

This place is awesome - it's basically a shipping container in God's Country. We take the convertible out for Sunday drives and stop here for the burger salad and onion rings. There's not a lot of seating and there's no indoors whatsoever but a good burger and rings hanging out at a picnic table on a summer afternoon can't be beat. They also play a lot of Sinatra. It's a vibe. Lots of fun.
