Hot Dog Depot

Since this is a drive-thru only restaurant, there is not much of an ambience or a vibe. There are picnic tables in the back of the restaurant, but due to the weather, I opted to take my order home. I've eaten here before and the food was enjoyable, but it took me awhile to return. I received excellent customer service at this visit and have no complaints in that area. Out of the three hot dogs I tried, my absolute favorite was the Honey Hot Brat (Grilled onions and hot honey sauce, served on a toasted bun) because of the hot honey sauce and the runner-up is the Mexi Dog (Cheddar cheese sauce, lettuce, tomato, jalapeños, and homemade chili, served on a toasted bun) because of the immense flavor. The Smokeshow (Smoked sausage made with burnt ends covered in hickory BBQ sauce, served on a toasted bun) was decent, but it did not give me an a ha moment like the others. The Fish Sandwich (Fried cod filet with American cheese, mayo, and homemade slaw, served on a toasted bun) became a knockout when paired with the slaw while the corn puppies stole my heart at first bite. The French fries were excellent, too, very crispy and perfectly salted.

If ya want a good hot dog this is your spot! It's hard to find simple hot dogs that aren't all beef but here you have a choice. Beef or Pork. My car had the Coney Dog, South Carolina Dog and a Good ole Plain Jane. All, SO GOOD! The buttered crispy on the top bun= Perfection. Great onion rings, very crispy. And then the surprise was the Yellow Cake with Strawberries loaded with vanilla ice cream. Yum Yum Yum. Worth the quick drive from CLT. Support this local gem.

This is the place for dogs!They also have fantastic hamburgers & many side options as well as milkshakes.Today I had the double cheeseburger which was just out of this world good! It was served hot & had very fresh & flavorful ingredients.It was cooked perfectly & was more than a meal.I also added two Relish Dogs, relish & mustard only.They were good but were not hot.They have signed a lease on a location near downtown Fort Mill in the space that was formerly the Subway. It will have a drive-thru window and projected open in mid to late August.

Tonight was the second time we had been here. The first time wasn't fantastic but we wanted to like it so we waited a bit and tried again. The fries we got were undercooked and incredibly greasy. They still had that raw taste to them, so clearly they were rushing to get them out. I ordered a chicken sandwich and halfway through it had an odd texture and appeared to be undercooked as well, which is not good. Considering how long we waited in line, I would not have expected rushed and half cooked food. Incredibly disappointing, especially if I wind up sick from the undercooked chicken sandwich.

Hot dogs have no flavor. It just takes away from all the different types of hot dogs they have. Need to get a better quality hot dog.

Such a great little lunch spot. Nothing fancy but if you want a tasty hot dog in Rock Hill this is it. The fries were fresh and hot as well. We had the Rock Hill and the Depot dog and both were really fresh and tasty. The toasted buns were a nice touch. No frills but no less tasty!

Great hot dogs. Only have a couple of picnic tables for seating. If you are craving a good dog, this is your place.

Place was very good, exactly what you would expect. I had two coney dogs with cheese tots. They were very good and I will come again for sure. Only knock is how expensive the place is. The people were very friendly and hospitable and food came quick when we went. Whenever you are craving a hot dog come here

Customer service was horrible, girl at the window was extremely rude. The owner responded to my complaint with a condescending tone and lack of responsibility

The food is delicious, it's like the hotdog and hamburger places from my childhood! I love it and also, the service is great, you were always met with a friendly smile and a big hello. Their servers are better than the ones at Chick-fil-A! I hate to say that, but it is true and you can get in and out quickly and I love it.
