In town for a short stay and I have unfortunately come down with a bad cold. We love to try places we don't have at home, so my husband went and picked up dinner for me - mashed potatoes with gravy and a Cobb salad with grilled chicken and ranch. The bad? Hands down the potatoes. Straight outta the box like my mom made in '85. The brown gravy (I actually love packaged brown gravy) smelled weird and tasted even worse. So those are a hard pass. The good!! That salad was awesome. Fresh seasoned grilled chicken - and a lot of it!, real bacon (not the chips from a bag and for sure not imitation), eggs, blue cheese crumbles, fresh cucumber slices, tomatoes and lettuce mix. And REAL ranch. Yes. real. No gummy fake ranch in a packet. You would easily pay $20 for this salad at Bonefish, Chili's or Outback. It around $10!! Far superior to the Chifila version. I'm seriously sad I don't live here because this would be weekly for me. I wish I had taken a picture, but trust me. Try one!

Second visit, this time with takeout order. Fast service with pleasant staff. Location is immaculate with pleasant atmosphere. Ordered pot roast again and is just as delicious as ever! Definitely returning.

It is my understanding that the restaurant in Southern Pines is one of the first for the company. I am a frequent flyer when it comes to Homeward. It's my kind of food. The choices are not extensive, but they are all down home good and reasonably priced.

Outstanding home cooked food ... hot juicy fried chicken , delicious pot roast and excellent salad ! Food was hot and delicious . Service was great ! Btw .. mashed pots and gravy are to die for !Will definitely return !It's fast food with a home cooked twist ... next will be the meatloaf !!!

We visited homeward kitchen for the first time tonight. We had heard wonderful things about the restaurant and wanted to try it out for ourselves. Mr. Ford is the ambassador of Homeward kitchen. He reviewed the menu with us and shared with the most popular dishes were and why they were so popular, I can see why Mr. Ford is the first person you meet when you come into the door exudes enthusiasm and love the food that they serve at home Ward kitchen I would also like to mention that the bathrooms are sparkling. This is not often found in a restaurant that is considered fast food, we tried the 12 hour slow roasted roast beef dinner. It was delicious the carrots potatoes and of course the roast beef and gravy were all spectacular. We tried a side order of green beans and mashed potatoes with gravy. This is definitely southern cooking at its best for dessert, you have to try their banana pudding. They make it locally at the restaurant. It is a combination of banana pudding, vanilla pudding, whipped cream, and Nabisco Cookies every bite includes sliced bananas, and all of the delicious pudding. You will not be disappointed. If you make this your next stop for dinner. The servers are all gracious and happy to meet whatever special needs you may have. We were very pleased with our dinner and wonderful service and homestyle cooking of homeward kitchen, we highly recommend!

We've been here several times and have been very satisfied each time. Homeward Kitchen has raised the bar for fast food restaurants. The prices are a little higher but the food quality is much higher and the serving size is way bigger. Chicken fingers are best I've ever had. Delicious side dishes including green beans my personal favorite. Also they offer a classic chicken sandwich and a Hot Honey (spicy alternative). Additional menu combinations make for hearty and healthier meals. Dine in or carry out or drive through. Take away orders are packaged to keep food warm until you get home. Restaurant is spotless and the one we go to maintains 100 cleanliness rating. In addition all staff are always very friendly and polite - it is obvious they want their customers happy with their experience

Went in today with my cousin and two younger sisters 2 and 7 and they were full of energy the entire time running around. The staff were nothing but kind and helpful especially Mr. Ford he made sure we had everything we needed and a good experience too. He had a great attitude and we will definitely be going back just to see him! The food was also great and out within a couple minutes too

I got the crispy fish and potato wedges, fish was hot, crispy outside and juicy not dry. Could also tell the oil was fresh. Spouse got the pot roast and said it was flavored good veggies were soft like they should be for a 12 hr roast. The rolls were fresh and the butter was different but had a mild sweet taste. Only giving 4 stars because it was restaurant prices for a fast food place.
