Hometown Bar-B-Que

We came here twice during our visit. Both times we had amazing service. You cannot beat the prices. They have a daily lunch special each day that's listed at the table. Sometimes if you're lucky there's a little left and you can get it at dinner time. Refills are consistent. Food comes out fresh and fast. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area. They also serve breakfast which we did not get.

Haven't been here in years.It's 10 miles from where I stay when in NC.In on a Monday at 2 for a late lunch.ORDERED:Small chopped bbq sandwich, fries, slaw and a iced tea.Total $ 8 and change.Sandwich and fries came out cold and sent it back.The return was still not hot but at least it was warm.Fries were old and the sandwich was dry and had no flavor.No need to go back.

Had it 2 days ago. The food was great along with the staff. Great neighborhood place to meet up with friends or family for home cooked meals. Yummy

Most of the time the service is fast and the food is good. If you call in an order make sure it is before the lunch rush. I literally seen the lady take the phone off the hook when it got busy. Also, I was left hanging on the phone for almost 15 mins waiting to put in my order. The morning staff is AMAZING.

I wouldn't have expected such good food to come from this place. They have a great menu with plenty of choices. Their main options are babeque and burgers. The serve seafood in the evening that I did not get to try. Service was fast and good. Their sweet tea was good. We all had burgers and the beef was good, not overly greasy. Their wedges and fries were both great. I would definetly go back. Good food, good service.

It's okay for a little greasy hole in the wall. It's just your normal country type greasy diner for you pretty good and their services decent most of the time also prices are getting a little steep though.

Food is always good, service is fast and friendly. Everyone knows everyone if not you will know someone you didn't when you leave. They have a good breakfast menu, lunch and dinner. Seafood nights all you can eat, and their BBQ is amazing

Our second time here, and this time we drove over an hour to come back. We came for the barbecue especially, eastern North Carolina style, I'm told. But I'm just learning. I do know what I like and it is sooooooo good. We also like everything else we got here especially the coconut cake. Today we came at 4:00 because that's when they start cooking the fish. The prices are even better than the taste.! The fish and sides were good too and service is great.

Food is normally decent. Occasionally the chicken orders have a lot of gristle on them. The cooks can be disturbing, like when you are doing the drive through window and see them picking food out of the fry baskets and putting it on a plate with not gloves after you've seen them touch everything in the kitchen.

People need to understand that they serve authentic eastern style whole hog Carolina bbq. It's def not for everyone.That said I had a great meal passing through on my way to Atlanta. The staff was very friendly and the southern accents make for a truly authentic expirence.My friend had smothered chicken and only had great things to say. Prices are great too
