We went back this year around the same time but instead of a weekday we went on a Sunday. There was a much bigger crowd but there lots of parking. Still lots of photo opps all around the farm. We were able to do participate in some new things since it was the weekend; like their Hayrides/Tractor Ride. The line was never not long but it was something to do. The ride itself is about 15 minutes and takes you around the farm. We grabbed some popcorn before getting on it though. It's freshly popped and so delicious! We also go to visit the petting area and feed some of the goats, sheep, cows and rabbits. Our toddlers had a blast! Good family fun for the fall season. && I got a funnel cake before we left (topping choices powder sugar, Carmel, chocolate, and strawberry syrup). The wind made it colder on the pumpkin side of the farm and unfortunately they didn't have warm apple cider. I expected them to have something warm that kids could drink (non coffee). Tips: Bring a blanket for inside the wagon. Don't wear your nice shoes. Bring a tripod or stand for photos.

Lovely farm! It's free during the weekdays and no reservation required- I'm in! My 1 year old had a blast! There are farm animals such as cows, chickens, and pigs. You can't pet them but you can stand up close to the fence to see them. There were plenty of pumpkins. Everything is spread out enough so it never felt crowded despite many people being there. There are many photo ops set up- on top of hay bales, pumpkin back drops etc. There are also a lot of kids toys around such as see saws and big connect 4s. We had a really good time and will definitely be back!

The Aesthetic: Beautiful family farm with a seasonal pumpkin patch, hay rides, and seasonal treats. The Price: We went here for our pumpkins, and they had high quality choices. We got the largest pumpkins they had for $20 each, and they are great! The Parking: There is plenty of event parking in a dedicated lot, and we had no trouble finding a spot on a busy Saturday afternoon. My Order: We got our 2 pumpkins, and we tried some delicious hot orange cider while we walked around. The cider was so yummy and only $2 a cup, try it! The Conclusion: This is the perfect Fall day out, you need to check it out if you're looking for a family outing.

This was my first visit to Hodges Family Farm and I can't believe I haven't been there sooner. My children enjoyed seeing the sights of the farm, such as the animals, the pumpkins, and hay ride. I liked that even though there were a lot of people, I didn't feel crowded. I also liked the apple cider donuts. Yes, apple cider donuts! These were probably the best I've had. The pumpkin patch season will soon be over, but I hope to be back next year.

I visited your farm yesterday and was greatly disappointed! This place is very run down, and the two calves in your barn were lethargic and didn't even open their eyes. Something was definitely off. Charging people five dollars to pet a calf that looked sickly? And the hay ride was a joke, a drive round a pasture that showed a couple cows. Your guide explaining that you cannot keep up with this farms bills so you have this annual pumpkin event?? This place is a total rip off for families!

We love Hodges!!! This is our first year for pumpkin picking here as we just moved and we weren't sure where to go until we found this place on Axios Charlotte. Sharon greeted us with a warm smile and made sure we had all the information we needed to have a great experience. She is great!!! We took a tour around the farm (on foot - we didn't partake in the hayride although it looked fun), and then grabbed a wagon to head to the field to grab our pumpkins. The pumpkins (most) are already cut off the stems so you just scoop ''em up. We got quite a bunch for $70, not terrible. They charge $5 for parking which I'm not crazy about but what can ya do! Sharon shared which pumpkins are edible, and even some of her 'secret' recipes so I'll consider it a wash. We also had some of the orange flavor hot cider they had for $2, pretty tasty but very sweet, I'd skip next time. We'll be back next year.

My family and I love pumpkin picking here. I have only been during the week never on a weekend. So it's not busy and I get to miss the crowd. We loved seeing the farm animals and the nice variety of photo ops they have available.I highly recommend wearing closed toed shoes i didn't think to wear them and the ants had a nice time on my foot while looking at the beautiful horses. They have a good selection of pumpkins some picked and some you pick yourself. I love this place.

Great place to bring your Littles for a little farm & pumpkin picking fun!Entry is free but parking is $5 cash or card. They have Sno Cones, Funnel Cake , KettleCorn, Hot Chocolate, Spiced Cider and cold drinks. There are many small stations for family pictures, a play area, live animals in the farm, lots of pumpkins of all sizes available for purchase.Don't worry if you forgot your wagon because there are plenty free wagons available to use free of charge I'd highly recommend to bring your family for a fun day out.

We took our 19 month old granddaughter to Hodges farm and had a wonderful time. She loved seeing all the animals . She loved playing with the 4 square games and pumpkins ! There were so many great spots for photos! We went on Saturday so it cost us $5 to park but it seemed such a small price given all there was to do and explore. Such a winder place for families! We will definitely go back in the future!
