Hive Coffee

Ambiance is great here and the drive thru option is a major plus for a small local coffee shop. This is a rare thing for a coffee joint beyond the corporate giants. Coffee is always good although sometimes the consistency of the taste may be slightly off sometimes. But if you understand coffee and pulling espresso shots there can be very fine nuances that change depending on the grind, temp, time, and even the barista can affect the way a shot is made/tastes. So I'm not upset that it's not the same every time. It just shows that this is the real deal. I enjoy the Breve here and the Chai Tea is solid too. The blended drinks are always good too. We've tried the spicy cayenne pepper drink and it was too much spice. I know it can be done as I've had it at a different coffee shop and it had just the right amount of kick. But this could be very subjective as everyone's spice level is different. All around Hive is a great choice for local coffee in Shelby and they have another location near downtown right next to MiPubs Mexican restaurant.

The best of the best!!!! My favorite coffee shop! Always delicious and hot! The staff is phenomenal.
