The food was delicious. This restaurant was recommended by Everett. We were pleasantly surprised. We will definitely order from here again. I only wish that my in restaurant dining experience my dinner would've come out on plates with silverware instead of styrofoam and plastic fork.

Food was very good. The price was pretty reasonable and the amount of food is not bad at all. This is not my first time, and it won't be my last. I highly recommend. If you're in the mood for Caribbean to go by here you will not be disappointed and the location is definitely a plus.

Based on my first experience I give them a 3 but I would go back. I would just order something different this time. I ordered the BBQ Jerk Chicken. It was ok but I wouldn't order it again. I also ordered fried plantain and they gave me broiled plantains, the portions were cool so no complaints there. There will be a 2nd part to this review when I visit again.

Food was nasty the last two times I ordered. I ordered jerk chicken from there and I thought it was just the char from the grill at first but it had a weird sour smell so I tried the chicken and it tasted just how it smelled old sour and rotten. But me being a forgiving person I always give things a chance so a week or so after that I tried it again and ordered the jerk chicken rice and peas again and had the same exact old sour smell and taste again!!!

The small little Belmont neighborhood tucked between Plaza Midwood and NoDA gained another amazing restaurant. Only steps away from Ace No 3 and Bottle and Bloom, you can now get authentic Jamaican food. We have been twice in the last 2 weeks because the food and service is just that good. The jerk sauce is out of this world. The cabbage and greens are flavorful, the Mac and cheese is juicy and the Patties are to die for! I tried the curry chicken and the beef Patty and I couldn't tell you which one was better. They also have a back patio and a popular take out counter. Add this delicious new place to your list of places to eat!

Great food great people! This Jamaican spot just opened a block away from Ace No 3 and Sweet Lew's and it's out of this world! It's the first place to be redeveloped on the corner of Pegram and Belmont, but it's worth taking a walk over. The owner is so nice!It seems like it's mainly a takeout spot at the moment, but they are working on having a cool outdoor patio, a pool table and more that will be jumping once they have their liquor license. But enough fluff: how's the food? It's AMAZING! The best Jamaican food I've had since visiting Jamaica on vacation. The Jerk Chicken is smoked perfectly and served with rice and peas and your choice of more sides! The Jerk Chicken is served sauced, which to me is the best possible way to eat it. The sides are great too: greens, cabbage, Mac & cheese, plantains and more! They also have beef patties and authentic Jamaican sodas. Once this place serves Red Stripe you won't be able to get me off their back patio while the chef smokes more chicken and Reggae music is bumping!

Food is worth it but take It to go! Food was delicious. We got small trays of Curry goat with mac and cheese and Oxtail and plantain. The small sizes were well portioned. I think pricing was fair. My friend got the Ting drink that was pink, she liked it. The atmosphere was okay: kids were running around (unknown who they belonged to), random stuff in places, and there's an outside but idk what was going out there. I liked the service. The guy was friendly but don't expect 5 star Michelin service. He greeted us, asked us if we were ready, took our order, brought our food to the table and done. I loved his fashion!

Yeah... this place is trash. The chicken was either old chicken that was kept warm or overcooked. It's also not "jerk" but more of a BBQ flavored jerk style. I won't be trying again.

Based on the mixed reviews, I think the quality of the food depends on when you visit. I went on a Sat, the place was completely empty, and none of the food was fresh. They also forgot some of my order so I had to go back and get the missing items. The patty was super stale and had very little meat in it. The jerk chicken tasted old as well and so it went right in the trash along with the rice and peas. I was determined to salvage something so I ate the mac & cheese and plantains but both were mediocre. As a fellow Caribbean, I was really hoping to find my go to spot, but I'll have to keep searching.

Please I advise don't go here !!! They serve old stale food. The food doesn't have any taste at all ! I ordered a beef patty I literally took one bite from it and spit it back out because the patty had no taste and wasn't fresh at all. They would take your order and have you waiting there for 45 minutes for stale food with no taste please avoid this place by means.
