Hibachi House

The food is awesome and a great price. It's my favorite meal to pick up and have a casual night! The food comes out pretty quickly and you can order online ahead of time. My favorite is the shrimp fried rice!

Looking for some quick hibachi or sushi fix after class? This place might be the ticket. I went during a lunch rush, and got my food within 10min. I got the salmon bento and a spicy crab roll. The salmon was cooked SUPER well done, which I did not like, but the overall flavor was good. The spring roll was mushy on the inside, and that wasn't pleasant but the bento box fills you up. The spicy crab roll is good, with mild heat to me. It has the crunchy bits in it though, which I don't like much. Overall, I would come back, but I would try some different rolls and maybe a shrimp bowl or bento. This meal cost 15$ which is on the pricier side for an express style type of hibachi.

Food was good but customer service was terrible. Got our order wrong and charged us $15 for food we didn't eat and said we had to come in and bring the food we were wrongly charged for to possibly get our money back. Said thank you on the phone even after I didn't have to, as I was spoke to rudely, and the man just hung up on me. Also put a request on my order and said no vegetables and received them.

Hibachi House was such a staple when I was in school. I've since moved away from Columbia but stopped here on a visit back. Oh, how I've missed it! You get so much food for under $10, it's insane! I always get the steak hibachi since it is cooked to order and I like it rare. You'll want to order an extra white sauce, thank me later. When I was in school, sometimes it was a long wait. This time it wasn't (on a Friday night), but that might have been since it was break. If you're looking for cheap, no-fuss, comfort food, this is your place!

The food is pretty good, but it's hard to mess up Hibachi. I asked for rare steak but it came medium, and I paid for extra white sauce but it only came with one. Service was terrible. The staff was sitting at a table and loudly chatting, even when they saw me come in. Someone didn't come to the register until I went and waited in front of it. After I ordered, they sat back down and continued chatting noisily. Service was so bad but the food is worth it.

Staff is always friendly and food is always hot! Very affordable and tasty! It's a homey little place.

Im not sure what has happened recently but this place has gone really down hill in terms of quality. I don't think I will be returning. I usually just placed to-go orders and waited about 30 minutes before I picked it up because it takes a very long time for service, which was acceptable for being the only reasonably priced asian place in a close proximity to my office. However, the last time I got sushi here the rolls were half made and the rice undercooked. The restaurant also has always had a strange smell which reminded me of urine. I rate it 2 stars only because of how good the food once was and how nice the staff are.

Well we were recommended this by a college student so shame on us. But - to start - No Ice and a Backed up Sewage Issue. The Meal 14$ for my order I got 5 pieces of overcooked shrimp, and maybe 5 oz of "steak" that was supposed to be rare and was cooked past well done. Tempura in bento box is amazing and authentic, the dressing/sauce (soy-sauce type) is great. Unbelievable!
