Hendrix BBQ

They have amazing food, amazing service, and anytime I come into town. I always go there. I recommend anyone and everyone to try their food.you will not regret it!!!

My friend and I were out doing some errands when we wanted to get something to eat. So we decided on BBQ for dinner. There was a restaurant that we haven't tried before so we went to Hendrix. What a great decision on our part!It was so small inside and the ambiance was very retro with the decor. They had a lot of vintage signs on the wall and a huge statue of Betty Boop when you walk in that greets you. The service was amazing and quick. The staff was very friendly and the food was really good. We ordered a BBQ plate which had pull pork sandwich with red slaw, house salad with homemade ranch dressing, fries and hush puppies for $11. It was a lot of food for the price which is a plus for me. I would come back to this place again and it is worth the visit!

I've been going to Hendrix BBQ for my whole life. Generaly good food. My family and I have had a lot of celebrations here over the years. Lots of good memories. But during the COVID crisis this establishment had no respect for people at risk. Masks were worn incorrectly if at all. A young waitress just refused to put the mask on that was around her neck even though I explained my friend was very high risk. What a bad attitude. Only one barbecue place in Salisbury was compliant with common sense measures during COVID. That's the one I go to. You can argue about masks but you're wrong. Science wins over how you feel. I just want a restaurant that cares about its customers.

Always a great place to stop. Curly fries are top notch and the barbecue never disappoints.

Have been a loyal customer for about 8 years, primary because of two amazing employees (ladies) that are always kind and pleasant and always made my wife and I feel welcomed. Other staff, not so much, but I tolerated it, because I try to see the good in everyone. But that changed recently. About a week ago I drove up to the drive thru to place an order. When I pulled up, there was one pickup truck that was waiting for their food, and about 10 other cars in the parking lot, so not really busy. The server came out with food in hand, so waited for her to deliver that food and figured she would come get my order afterwards, or at least acknowledge that she saw me.Nope. She walked right back in, never acknowledged me and came out about a minute later to take change to the truck that was still parked in the drive thru. After the truck pulled off, she headed, you guessed, right back inside, never even looking my way. At that point, I simply drove off. Unprofessional behavior for a service oriented position.There is a quote that sums up my experience; "You must have the courage to leave that table when respect is no longer being served". I have excused myself... permanently.I decided at that point that I will NEVER step on that property again, nor will I spend another penny at this establishment. And the worst part is that I will never get to see my two favorite people. It only takes one to ruin it for everyone.

Will go back! The waitress were nice and quick! Best sweet tea. Food was wonderful and the place was clean!

been going there off & on for years, always had decent service, but here lately, ( 2 months or so ) for breakfast, with others ( 5 to 8 ) ordered my breakfast, after i would get it, that was it as far as service. several "young" girls come to table either to refill or ask all alright to everyone but me, 1 kinda flirting with some. sit there with empty cup, until 1 morning i noticed ( in the last room ) there was tea pitchers on a table along with lids/take home boxes, etc., so i helped myself to refills. will have to say, there was 1 older lady ( when she was there ) would wait on me very good. would check on me, bring refills & such. what finnally made me "stop" going there, i was having a car show & asked the owner if he would donate $25. to help with the show expenses. he declined to do so, & after all the $100.'s-possibly $1000.'s i've spent there, he couldn't give me a little $25. for sponsering my show!! needless to say, but i will "never-ever" spend/give "him" any more of my money !!!

I love their omelettes and hash browns. My kid gets their big cheeseburger all the time as well. Service is always spot on. Never had any issues with food or service. They have a ton of old signs hung up throughout the restaurant

Hendrix never disappoints! I place a carry out order almost every Friday morning and the order is always correct and the breakfast is always delicious! The waitresses are always kind and polite when taking the order and delivering it to my car. Love this place!
