Located on the 4th floor of the Cambria Suites Hotel, this bar and restaurant has a stunning view of the Pisgah mountain range and all of downtown Asheville. Looking for Cuban cuisine restaurants in Asheville , this might be close but it's definitely not like the real thing . I came here two years ago and it was definitely better than this time . This is why I made a reservation for New Year's Eve . The restaurant wasn't full at all so it was great , we got seated shortly after our reservation close the side window with the views. By 8:00pm dinner time they already had team out of most food , like the full dishes were almost done and there was not much too choose from except vaca frita if you didn't want a sandwich. The meat was not shredded it was most like ground beef and it didn't have much flavor . The drinks were good but stick to their menu I order another drink off the menu and it was sent back . It's in the 4th floor of the hotel so it's very convenient to come here if you don't want to go around the city .

Amazing atmosphere and mocktails!! Wow!! But as far as food is concerned not anything to talk about or pay for to be honest. Went in valentines and it was disappointing from all the hype I've heard.

Meh. We ate here because we were staying at the Cambria and it seemed convenient to check it out. While the rooftop views were great, the food itself was a bit lacking. We didn't order anything spectacular but it was mediocre at best. The chicken empanadas needed more flavor. The ham croquettes tasted like we were just biting into mush. The home fries were the best part of the hemingway breakfast.

Hemingway's was an amazing rooftop vista in downtown Asheville with great cocktails, cozy spots to chill, and impeccable service! We went for cocktails only- and the view- everything was amazing. We tried making it for live music - next time! Be sure to swing by Hemingway's the next time you're in downtown AVL!

Given the low averages I'm seeing for this place, I'm glad someone recommended it to me, because I would have otherwise skipped this joint.But we came in for dinner last night and it was basically the perfect meal. Great service from a woman named Ally. Kid food that exceeded expectations; my son got the grilled cheese with fries, and my daughter got the butter noodles with rice, and both were in hog heaven. The ham croquettes were good, but the sauce they were sitting on was even better. My wife and I split the vaca frita entree, with broccolini and the plantain chips...that beef was perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. We chased the dinner with two orders of the churros and I had to rip the "Daddy Share" of that dessert away from the kids to ensure I got enough.And, we didn't really even get the views because we ate at 8:45 PM on a Thursday. If you come during the day, the views are definitely a selling point.I'm not sure if I just ordered better than most, if we got lucky, or what. But I'll be coming back here for sure!

Warning while it''s located on top of the Cambria Hotel ,which is a great hotel, it is not associated with with it in anyway. We went to breakfast on our last day in Asheville. I ordered the breakfast special which was eggs, which were good, toast,, potatoes and meat which i told them to leave off the order,and coffee was included, they charge me $ 4.00 because I asked for tea instead of coffeeI spoke to waitress and manager nothing was done. Not eating there again

Great place to celebrate my work anniversary! The rooftop was amazing - view, design and live music. My server Tommy was top notch. Attentive, prompt, knowledgeable and went above and beyond to accommodate request to get to flight on time. The food was exceptional! From my house mojito to the tostones boards which consisted of a variety of toppings that were flavorful with each bite. Impressive! The camarones al ajillo were prepared in a delicious buttery sauce with visible garlic pieces! Hemingway is one of my favorite authors (see previous reviews on places that highlight him), and his name was carried on here. The interior design was also pleasing with a variety of highboys, booths and couches. I enjoyed the view and comfort of the patio seating - also couches and highboys. Look forward to returning to this part of Asheville that had cute boutiques and a variety of appealing dining options including Hemingways.

Ya know. Well. Usually I critique with long missives about a restaurant but I'm so utterly full of amazing, delicious food I must lay down. You'd think I was pregnant but at 80 it's impossible.Our first time here; for bunch! Fourth floor, elevator opens...TADA! Really charming decor with that kind of 'Kool' atmosphere you'd want when someone references Poppa, Ernest Hemingway! (He'd be very pleased.)Outdoor dining a must, especially if you want to catch the sunset view from here. Wowza!Oh yeah, the food? Well this restaurant is a keeper: the food was deliciously CUBAN. Can't wait to try everything on the menu!Like I mentioned, I'm going to lay down! Phew, full of terrific Hemingway, Cuban cuisine!I

Service was good. The menu was limited versus what was online. The ambiance was less than expected.
