Hawthornes Pizza

Now that Concord downtown is more accessible after major street construction we headed back downtown to support the business that are still open. Hawthornes is an excellent restaurant serving a wide variety of Italian food. We usually order pizza but today we went with The Godfather sandwich and Chicken Parm Stromboli. Both were excellent. Our server was very friendly and efficient without interrupting us throughout our meal. Hawthornes has a big takeout business but the restaurant itself is clean and spacious with enough seating for any size crowd. They also have a great bar with plenty of bar seating. Head back downtown and try them out!!

Great spot for lunch or dinner. We came here for an early dinner while out shopping. It's so cute inside, looks newly renovated. Loved the causal atmosphere. We sat at the bar. Great friendly staff. We wish there was bar or rail for the feet while we sat at the bar. We got the pizza rolls to start. GET THE PIZZA ROLLS! They are FIRE!We each got our own pizzas. I forgot to order well done. But please make sure you order well done on your pizzas!Super fresh ingredients. So happy we have a great pizza spot near us!We got the meat lovers 18" (man was it large!! And I got it well done!) to go. So that lasted a few nights. It has huge pieces. And it's sold as 18" but it's a huge pizza I didn't measure it but it's way larger than 18". Ok remember well done!We will be back!

I love to see new businesses in Concord. You will find this restaurant right in downtown Concord. There is road construction going on right now which is unfortunate. I'm glad to see it doesn't seem to slow down the patrons looking for a place to eat. You can't park in front of the business but there is plenty of parking. There is a parking deck not too far away. There is a pick up area for take out that is in the back of the restaurant. I think that's a great idea. Less traffic in the restaurant. The inside is really nice. Not fine dining but a great place to eat or drink at the bar. I think they did a great job decorating the inside. We had the pizza and thoroughly enjoyed it. I look forward to coming back to sit and enjoy a nice meal. Enjoy!

We've been here a few times already. The food is really good!. I've tried the luau pizza (Pineapple, bacon, ham, smoked pulled pork, caramelized onions and mozzarella cheese), The Crew Pizza (The "New Yorker" with meatballs, Italian sausage, banana peppers, red onions and mozzarella cheese), and the calzones... AMAZING!!Large area at bar and booths for inside dining. There is a back Togo door for take out orders. Waitresses are always attentive and sweet when I come in. Manager is always in house and make sure everything goes smooth. Will always come back!

We came here for dinner with a large party of 10. There were 5 adults and 5 kids and we put our name in and was given a wait time of 45 minutes. There wasn't much room to wait inside so we wandered around the downtown area that this location was in and found a toy store and bakery across the street and around the corner. Besides that, it was pretty dead in the area on a Saturday night.We came back before they contacted us around 40 minutes later and wiated about another 15, no big deal. We were seated at a high top table in the back that fit us perfectly. It took some time to get drinks and order, but they were pretty full and thinned out by the time we were finished. I got the stromboli, which was excellent and also tried some of the cheese bread, which felt homemade and was great. The menu had tons of choices for all appetites. There was a claw machine in the back where to-go orders were being picked up and a free city parking deck was. The staff was super friendly!

It had been a while (some years) since I'd visited this place, but I'm glad we went back. The long island wings are HUGE and flavorful. The garlic knots are HUGE and sooo good. So much butter and garlic... literally finger-licking good. The pizza itself is good but the cheese is almost too chewy (if that makes sense). It's hard to explain. It kind of all falls off the pizza and has a lot of stretch to it. It was good, but it may have been a bit much for our toddler aged kids who were trying to eat it.

I really enjoyed our first visit to Hawthorne's Pizza. We were luckily enough to find street parking very close to the restaurant. However, there is also a parking garage in walking distance. The atmosphere definitely fits a downtown kind of vibe. They offer a mix of high top tables and booths. They also have extra tables in the back. We ordered the garlic knots as an appetizer. They tasted great, were a nice size, and came with marinara sauce. I highly recommend them. I had the 9in Luau pizza. It's the perfect size for one or two people. I really liked the pizza, but the BBQ was a bit much for me. The service was great. We were welcomed by a friendly hostess and our waiter was pretty awesome and attentive. Everything was very clean including the restrooms.

Always consistent quality dinning experience and amazing food! Todd behind the bar is absolutely fantastic!!

Food and service here is always delightful. We ordered wings and a build your own deep dish pizza. Wings are seasoned well and fried giving them a crunchy outside and moist and meaty inside. Flavor was very tasty. I'm not a deep crust pizza gal but my husband is, have to let him get his way sometimes, and was I happy I did! Wow! Pizza dough was crispy outside and not too thick, soft bread inside with the right about of sauce and toppings. I've never had "hot honey" on a pizza before, let me tell you YUMMY! Just marries all the flavors together. Yep, I'll do that again! Staff are always friendly and speedy service. We will be back!

Always great service, a relaxing evening out with the best ambiance. The food is always great, too! We have two young children, and they always accommodate us very well, which makes a huge difference to me.
