Harvey's at The Henderson

October 4 & 5, 2024Dinner reservations at 7:30pmWe had the pleasure of staying at the Henderson for the weekend and was able to have dinner here both Friday and Saturday nights of our stay. The food and service were the best we ever had. We were actually sad to leave as there were still so many choices on the menu that we wanted to try. I guess another reason to return. Our first night I had the chicken pot pie spoiler alert it is a generous sized portion you will notleave hungry but that did not stop me from getting the crème brûlée for dessert. Hubby had the deviled eggs that we shared presented beautifully underneath a smoked glass. He had the shrimp cocktail as well as the wedge salad before having the short ribs. Next night Saturday we started with our cocktails hubby Tangueray and Tonic and I had a Grey Goose Cosmopolitan. For my main course I had the Fish and Chips as well as Chocolate lava Cake for dessert. The food is delicious the service is impeccable and the atmosphere could not be more comfortable and relaxing sitting outside in this lovely Fall weather. The Inn was beautifully decorated for Halloween. The perfect setting in this historic Inn. Looking forward to our next visit and meal here. The menu has a wonderful selection.

It's like stepping back in time... entering the richly decorated foyer and taking in original dark woods and decor - it might actually be the roaring 20's, but don't be fooled. This chef prepares the most modern, delicious appetizers, entrees, and desserts that you'll never find anywhere else in WNC. Oh, and don't forget the cocktails, wines, and beer assortment. Something to please everyone before, during, or after your dinner.For example, this past Wednesday was the monthly trivia night. For dessert, Michael prepared a wonderful bread pudding with raisins and topped with honey from his own beehives in the roof of the B&B! The waitstaff are attentive, gracious, and accommodating. You could not ask for a more delightful dining experience in Hendersonville. It's our favorite place to bring guests as we know we will never be disappointed.

I've been to Harvey's three times now, and I love it more and more with each visit. They've refreshed the menu with some great new additions, and the servers are as wonderful as ever. The tables on the porch our favorites. Tonight we had the duck confit, oven roasted scallops, fish and chips, panko crusted goat cheese salad and tofu bao. Plus some great cocktails. I recommend everything.

Had a beautiful Valentine's Day meal last evening! Exceptional food in an intimate atmosphere!

No wait for brunch which is great, it was quiet and we enjoyed sitting on the porch. The food was sub par for the cost, I did not like my frittata but my husband enjoyed the breakfast burrito, and the eggs Benedict looked good. One half of our dishes came out 10-15 mins after the first couple. I would maybe try this again for dinner but not my top choice for brunch.

Very pleasant evening with great service and food! The Chanterelle Mushroom Risotto was amazing!Unfortunately noisy being on the porch and dining next to Church Street but that's only because of the jerkface Harley' Davidson and Diesel PickUp owners that want to be sure we see (and hear) them. We'll be back.

I've been to Harvey's for both brunch and dinner. Brunch is excellent! We had crab cakes Benedict and brioche French toast with berry compote. I also had a couple of mimosas. The patio is nice and large, shaded and has privacy blinds. At dinner, we had the fish and chips, baked scallops, and heart of palm tacos. The fish and chips were great and served with malt vinegar and tartar sauce; the bakes scallops were so good and tender served on a shell with a butter sauce; the heart of palm tacos were unconventional with fried heart of palm, a chipotle aoli, and fried jalapeños. We met the chef/owner, Michael, and he gave us a little tour of the downstairs. Nice experience.

We have had the most wonderful dinners at Harvey's and last night was the best ever.The food and the service are outstanding.Scallops, goat cheese salad, tofu bao,duck confit and fish and chips. The cocktails were also delicious.I think this is the best restaurant in Hendersonville.The menu has so many wonderful choices and everything we tried was prepared with skill and with extraordinary talent.

This was our second meal at Harvey's and both were excellent. Chef Michael is a jewel. Our escargot appetizers were perfect. I ate the Pork Wellington, my wife ate the Chicken Picata and we loved our meals. Our server, Katrina, was a joy; attentive, and friendly. She knew the menu, helped my wife match her wine with her entree, and was always there when we had a question or a request. She's is superb.We highly recommend Harvey's.

Food and service were excellent! We really enjoyed sitting on the porch while eating dinner.
