Great restaurant and if it proves to be as good next time, an easy 5 star. Ate at the Claremont location a number of years ago and it was good, but I can't extrapolate from one to another.I was in the Hickory area today and looking for a good place for lunch. Been awhile since I have had BBQ and decided to try this one. What complicated things was that Susan was in Pittsburgh and I had Watson the Corgi with me and did not want to leave him in the car for an extended period of time.Walked in and was promptly seated although no thanks to my Iphone. I asked for directions when I was at the Mall and it said 5.3 miles and driving time of 2hours 13 minutes. Followed it and I knew something was off when ti told me to turn left onto NC 127 N and I knew it was NC 127S.Simple lunch of a Smoked BBQ sandwich with a side of Onion Rings. All was good and while I normally ask for no pickles. That said, if it's served with slaw, I normally ask for no slaw and it's not because I don't like slaw. I love slaw if it's fresh and nice and crispy and not soggy. Around here, you order something with slaw, the juice from the cabbage along with the mayonnaise become a slimy mess after 30 minutes. Was going to kick myself when sandwich came out but on first bite, the slaw was perfect with a nice crunch and texture to it.In addition, for my friend, Watson the Welsh Corgi, I ordered the Angus Cheeseburger with no buns, lettuce, tomatoes, or other condiment to go. Great service and very attentive. While I was waiting, my iced tea was refilled at least 4 times without asking.Looking over the place, not fancy and very rudimentary but clean and neat and very utilitarian. Sandwich came out and it was great. The BBQ is perfect and has the sweet taste that comes from hickory smoke. Was disappointed a first because it had no bite to it but then I realized the sauces were on the table and they were quite good.God Onion Rings as a side and they were great.I strongly recommend this restaurant because it hit all the marks and is a solid place to go.After I left, I drove home with Watson's Togo stripped down Cheeseburger and when we got home, he had half to the Cheeseburger and will get the other half tomorrow.Watson give it a four paws rating.

We were scared at first, having just left Virginia and an awesome bar b q/ smokehouse that has won hundreds of trophies around the country. We were so pleasantly surprised that Hannah's food is just as wonderful if not better!!! The Christian family atmosphere was the icing on the cake! We have our new go to place for bar b q Can't wait to bring our family in!!

My parents had been going to Hannah's for years. And, anytime I was in town, I made sure to go for their delicious pulled pork sandwich! I was able to take my Dad there for lunch after two years. He wasn't comfortable going out. But, a trip to Hannah's was worth getting out for him. He ordered the vegetable plate and while he normally eats like a bird, he almost finished everything on his plate! Of course, I had my favorite pulled pork sandwich and took one to go for my husband! I am already looking forward to our visit in March so we can go back!

Went through the drive through at Hannah's BBQ South recently. The BBQ and potato salad was really great. Got some hot onion rings for a snack on the way home and they were some of the best that we've had. It's difficult to find a place with onion rings that good. You should definitely give them a try next time you need a BBQ fix!

We stopped here while passing through town. Cute little place on the inside; sort of a western country theme with dinette booths. We were warmly greeted at the door and then by our waitress. I ordered the pork plate and husband ordered the B.O.B. Sandwich (bbq on a bun). My plate had crinkle cut fries (seasoned just right) and bbq beans (tiny bit of a spicy kick) and was really good. Husband said his BOB sandwich "was one of the best" he's ever had. The bun was toasted ciabatta and had the right amount of pork on it, along with some spicy slaw (he says he wouldn't consider it "bbq slaw" but it was nice and pickled and not full of Mayo) and dill pickles. We walked out full and happy. I only wish we lived in the area so we could try out some of their Tex-Mex/Mexican inspired options. Maybe on another trip...
