Great southern vibe. The Angus Burger Jerry's way is to die for. Get this! The sweet tea is perfect. Recommend!!

I was looking for bbq, and after a long day didn't want to drive to far. Hannah's showed up on Yelp close to where we were staying, so off we went.It's pretty easy to find. GPS took me right to it. It's on a main road with easy access in and out. The stand alone building has plenty of parking, although all spaces are away from the building. You need to cross the traffic lane to get to the building. This means corral the kids, and handicapped people need to walk further. It's just something to be aware of.Inside is large and clean. They have a combination of booths and tables. We sat at a booth. The cushions were well used with almost no padding, but everything was clean. I did notice they had a 99.5% health code rating, so good for them (and us!).The hostess gives the menus when you first sit down so you can start deciding what you want. It took a minute or two for the server to come by. She took our drink order and asked if we knew what we wanted to eat. My dining partner needed a few more minutes. The waitress came back in about a minute with drinks, so we didn't need to wait long for her return.I ordered the Beef brisket platter, with sides of bbq beans and fried okra. I also ordered their smoked wings with Buffalo sauce. My dining partner had the small pork ribs plate with the marinated (vinegar) slaw as the side.Our food came out in about 15 minutes. Not a bad wait, but two tables after us got their food before it's. I don't know if it was the wings which took longer to prepare or what.The ten wings were very good. They were not drenched in sauce. There was a lot of meat on them, and they were moist and tender. The sauce was one of the better Buffalo sauces I have had.The brisket was fine. It was served shredded with just a little sauce added. The meat itself was bland. I did get some smoke flavor, but it really needed sauce to make it interesting. The bbq beans were fine as well. There is some pork added along with a very little bbq sauce. The beans themselves were very soft. The fried okra was done well. Crispy without being overdone.The pork ribs were nice. I thought the meat was less tender, but my dining partner thought they were perfect. The meat slid off the bone, and there were crispy edges. The marinated slaw had more than enough sugar added to counteract the vinegar. We were hoping for a sour slaw, but this is not it. The other two slaw options are the typical mayonnaise based and a bbq sauce based. Both those are creamy style. Both plate came with hush puppies. They were dry, but not crumbly.So, this is a decent place, but not outstanding. They were busy enough, so they must have their niche. I will look for another bbq place the next time I'm in the area because there are many options, but Hannah's was fine.

Well the barbecue was perfectly smoked I was not into the barbecue sauces they had all of them were just not to my taste they're coleslaw was very finely chopped the sweet potato fries were delicious though my favorite thing on the menu so far that I've had they had really good sweet tea as well but nobody's coming there for sweet potato fries or sweet tea they're coming there for barbecue I do have to say that my waitress was fantastic though she was super courteous

So I have mixed feelings about this place. I have had good experiences and I have definitely had below average. The chopped pork is always good and the fries are awesome. The location in Lenoir is definitely better but the Hickory location is closer. I have had at least two experiences that are unfortunately shaping my perspective. No flexibility on the menu which is odd. One of them was through the drive through during quarantine a year ago. We ordered a lot of BBQ and we requested more sauce, had a very aggressive and unfriendly response from the lady working the drive through window. Tonight my server was very sweet and helpful but the one that brought me my meal from the kitchen basically threw it at me and walked away. Sweet Tea was also stale. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt considering it's later in the evening. I hope they get it together soon!

I come here often for lunch, and while the food is fabulous, the customer service needs some work. I often get rude attitudes when I come through the drive thru. Tonight my order was completely wrong. On top of that, I ordered hush puppies which they shorthanded me on. It sucks because those were what I was looking forward to the most. I probably should have checked my order, but I'm so used to it being right most of the time. Either way, this will not keep me from eating here because the food is fantastic, but I will update my review when the employees decide to start caring about their customers a little bit more. 3 stars for mediocre service.

Awesome food! Try the B.O.B sandwich with brisket!! One of the best brisket sandwiches I've ever had!

Hannah's is a great place to go with the family after Prayer Meeting and choir practice on Wednesday. And for the whole family all of their specials they order and enjoy!!

Mediocre barbecue and extremely over priced. I've grown up in the south especially North Carolina so please take my word of advice, and don't waste your money here.

I have tried the Hanna's in Lenoir and Hickory multiple times and as someone who has worked a smoker at a bbq joint, I am convinced they braise their meat and don't use a smoker. The meat is bland and boring. My wife's burrito was disgraceful and was "edible at best". Come on now y'all.

Gone here for 20 years, will NEVER go again. Customer service was absolutley terrible. Hannah's should close this location! Wish I could give less and 1 star.
