The Yelp 4 star average is about right for this place. They are located on the corner of Tryon & Trade. There are loud and aggressive homeless people all around and near the order window and they will harass you. Just ignore them and you should be ok. Even though the Yelp menu photo is three years old, their menu has not changed. The guy who took our order was friendly and efficient. We got the lamb gyro and chicken salad. Both were about $7.99 and had good flavor. The quantity is a little small but a good value for the price. Definitely for the salad and possibly for the gyro you will need to either order 2 or eat some other food with it to get satisfied. You can get the sauce on the side for both to reduce the calories if you are watching those. Like some others shared, got some indigestion from their food, but perhaps not as serous as others claimed. Overall, would eat here again and recommend trying them.

I have been eating at this location since 2017 and I am never disappointed. My food is always seasoned very well and hot. I've tried almost every item on their menu but my staple is the chicken and lamb. The people that work here are always very nice and the service is good. As far as the ambiance well you are in front of the Bank of America building with the water fall so what else could you ask for?

Amazing, delicious, quick and convenient. They're open late and the food is always hot off the grill.

It was a sprinkling a bit, maybe that's why nobody was in line. When I had walked by earlier it had a group of people waiting. I was greeted immediately! Ordered my food and turned to walk away and they called me back. My order was ready in less than 30 seconds. It's on a street corner in front of of the Bank Of America Building. There are a quite a few homeless. But they are harmless. Check this place out! Wish the weather was better, grab & go to a local park to enjoy a delicious meal.

Ordered via Door Dash. The chicken and rice is salty grilled chopped chicken. Paid for a pita ($1) and falafel ($1) the pita was right from the fridge and crumbly the $1 falafel was burnt, cold and disgusting. See the photo. The "tatziki sauce" was not the delightful, light yogurt based sauce we all know and love, but mayo mixed with weird herbs. Unappealing and greasy. I wouldn't order from them again,

This is definitely something I can't get in Cary. One of my friends recommended it and it was relatively cheap and so good! I got the chicken rice platter. Whatever that white stuff is, it's delicious! The food came out steaming hot, too, so I ate it outside and it didn't cool off too much.

The food was tasty, but the issues noted by other Yelp reviewers regarding the homeless population surrounding the cart - were very real. I will never return to this cart again.Someone was sitting right below the food truck's window, where you order. This individual was very aggressive, rude, and downright combative - which only escalated into insulting when I declined to give him my change.When I complained, the proprietor came out and asked this individual to leave, but the proprietor's requests appeared to be performative for my benefit - the person was still sitting under the window when I left - for good. Best of luck.

The halal food truck craze has taken Uptown Charlotte by storm as there are multiple trucks on standby to provide lunch to busy office workers or a welcome drunk meal to late night parties. The most prominent of these is the Halal Food Cart which is usually posted up in the heart of Uptown on the intersection of Trade and Tryon. Unfortunately they are cash only which is puzzling because you are able to order from them on Door Dash so you would think they would have the ability to accept card payments. I've found that the quality varies from different visits, most recently I was a little let down. I ordered on Door Dash the lamb over rice, which usually is excellent. This time however I felt that it was simply over salted and lacked the flavor I had enjoyed previously. I suppose everyone has off nights. The lines you will often see forming outside the truck really speak for themselves, and I can tell you from experience that after a long night out, a lamb over rice can hit the spot like no other.

$10 plate of heaven after the gym, do no go here expecting fancy food this is good as soul street food
