H2 Public House

The kids and I visited H2 a few nights ago. I had a great coupon from one of the coupon books you can buy from the Exchange Clubs, which is the only reason I knew it was even there!I am really glad we did. The service was nice and friendly and the bar atmosphere wasn't so pervasive. It was still calm enough to talk to your tablemates without having to shout.We ordered sweet teas to drink and agreed they needed more sugar. For an appetizer, we three shared an order of poutine, which I wasn't really excited about. It ended up being our favorite dish of the night: French fries topped with fried cheese curds and gravy. It was sinfully amazing.Our sandwiches were good, but most of us had something we'd change. The Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich was the favorite sandwich of the night. The spicy sauce had just the right amount of kick on it, and the addition of slaw cooled that down enough and provided a mayonnaise sauciness as well. This was the first time we'd had a Nashville Chicken Sandwich with coleslaw added and we all agreed it was a great addition.The shaved prime rib sandwich was very good. Next time we'd order it with mayonnaise and the horseradish sauce on the side, as that was a bit strong.I had the Cuban sandwich, which was also very good. The bottom was a little on the charred side, but not so much that it was inedible. It needed a little something, as it was dry.We would definitely visit again, but probably for lunch. When I go out for dinner, I like a little bit more upscale experience. Personal preference, only. This is a solid restaurant!

Service was friendly. Plenty of TVs. Food was nothing to come back to. Fries were limp and undercooked. Egg on the burger was barely cooked. Meat in Reuben sandwich was rubbery. Not interested in coming back.

This is a locals sports bar. Pretty cool vibe with a lot of space, great service, and it's very clean. They also have many TVs for sporting events. Just keep in mind it's mostly locals. I live in the next town and didn't recognize one person. The Fried Chicken Wings (not breaded) were standard for a sports bar. You also get a couple of carrots and celery sticks. My favorite part of the meal was the Blue Moon on tap followed by an Old Fashioned ($10--good price). This is one of my more pointless reviews because not many people from out of the area would venture here but whether that's the case or you're local, you go for the vibe and the drinks more than the food. At least that's based on my experience. If I go back, I'll try a different menu item.

This is THE place in Cornelius! Sports bar meets incredible food. Burgers? The best. Wings? The best. Salads? Amazing. Anything that's on the Specials board, just order it. It will be awesome. Homemade soup every day. Super family friendly and the kids menu is a steal. Try the homemade chicken tenders!Awesome staff that makes it a point to make everyone feel welcome. Also one of the cleanest restaurants in the area. Give it a try!!

I've always liked coming to H2 in Cornelius. It's a good place to watch a game and get something to eat. As a hockey fan it's one of the few places I don't have to ask to have the hockey game on tv. I highly recommend the $3 chorizo tacos on Tuesday, Music Bingo on Thursdays and the Pub House wings (they're $1 each on Thursdays).If I had to pick only one thing as the "best" at H2 it would be the staff. For how well this place is organized, there are often large groups that go there and it's always taken care of so well. I most appreciate Danielle, Regan and Sara for the best and consistent hospitality. They truly make H2 be as special as it is. It's safe to say I'll be back, which is more than I can say for other "reviewers"Pros: Staff is super friendly and helpful. $3 tacos, $1 Pub House wings, Nachos, TV's, weeknight social activities Cons: It can be hard to know about since it's inside a business development and I don't think there's enough signage or lighting. But just look for the white building across from Dutchman's.

Sports bar. Friday night is Trivia Night and it is LOUD. People having fun, though. The strawberry avocado salad was good but not special. The shrimp tacos were judged as "probably the best shrimp tacos I've had" by my dining partner. And the nachos were terrific (I sampled those of another dinner partner). Service was a little slow but there was a wedding group attending and the wait staff was stretched. This place probably deserves a 5 on a normal night.

I'll keep this one short and sweet. Great people own and run these 2 bars, but the food isn't all that amazing at this location. I came by to watch some basketball during March Madness. Good beers on tap, decent appetizers, but the dinners are lacking. I'd say just get a burger or a sandwich and take the place for what it is.I'll be back.

Food and drinks are always on point here! Whether for a quick bite or to hang out for a football game I'm sure you will enjoy. Service is always on time and the ambiance is fun and enjoyable.

Unfortunately, while I live locally and like to support H2, their service has been at best poor during the last several visits, at at worst non-existent.Iif it is at all busy, wait times are crazy long...it's like the staff does not care whether you get served or not. Today was a new low. It was busy - football Sunday - and I joined a table of friends already there - but it was at least 30 minutes before any staff even bothered to come by the table. I ordered a beer from the staff member - which was delivered by someone else - and 45 min hr later the staff member still had not come back (I wanted to do a food order). Crazy bad. lots of empty beer bottles on the table as well, so lots of missed sales. You would think a staff member would notice. I ended up leaving early - missing my games - so I could go find some food elsewhere.This is not the 1st occurrence of bad service. Occasionally it has been good, most times mediocre, sometimes downright bad. Can't see going back anytime if it might be the slight bit busy.

H2 doesn't want a negative review (even though there are plenty already) and continue to get my review removed. I had a very unpleasant experience there recently where my friend and I were treated unfairly by the staff and other patrons in the bar. I came on here to share the experience I had of a bartender D a n y e l l e. She made us feel very unwelcome because we are not a "Cheers" regular like some of the other patrons are. There are other platforms to post negative reviews and I will also share my experiences there if this gets removed again. If you look at the reviews there is ironically several positive reviews in the past days where there isn't usually that many. If it's ok for the owner/management to force people to leave positive reviews to make up for a negative review then I have no problem continuing to share my negative feedback. If this establishment is so great then my negative review shouldn't be an impact.
