I always crave chinese food when hungover and this place hit the spot. Ordered the hibachi chicken which came with vegetables and was all extra greasy- i didnt expect anything less . A big plus from other places is their online ordering system. Was real easy to order and the food was ready on time for pick up.Thanks for being the only good place open on Christmas day in the area btw!

First time ordering from here, had it delivered through DoorDash. Very seamless ordering and delivery process. We tried the General Tso's Chicken entrees with added broccoli, pork fried rice, and an egg roll. The egg roll is easily one of the best I've ever tasted. Super crispy, great flavor! Unfortunately, the rest of the meal was really outshined by the egg roll. The chicken itself was soft, no crispy parts which I definitely missed and sadly there was no spice to it at all. The rice was extremely bland. The broccoli was a bit undercooked and again, no seasoning whatsoever. Considering it was an extra charge to add the vegetable, I wish I would have skipped it. We also had steamed dumplings. They, and the sauce they came with, were both pretty good. Next time we'll try the fried dumplings! The portions are more than enough to be satisfying and have leftovers (the best part) so it still hit the mark for when you're craving takeout.

This oddly named Chinese to-go place is just around the corner from our new place. If it was up to me, I'd eat here all the time. The couple times we had delivery, it was because we had just unpacked so much stuff and just could not move. Delivery took minutes from ordering to the food arriving. The first time, we ordered chicken lo mein, and two eggrolls to split. The food was hot and so fresh. I definitely thought it was one of the better lo mein I have ever had. Lots of soft juicy chicken all the way through it.The egg rolls were also very good. Crunchy on the outside, flavorful on the inside. Full of veggies. The next night, I insisted we order again - this time, egg drop soup with spring rolls for me and an egg roll for hubby. Yet again, it was one of the better egg drop soups I have had. The spring rolls were outrageously good. All veggies, fresh and crunchy. All in all, we are very happy with this tiny place and will definitely order again!

Love Grow Green! Food is always hot and delicious and service is fast! This is our go to for Chinese for sure!

Best Egg Foo young anywhere. I love their food. Nice people and very fast service. I wish it was a sit down restaurant.

Fast, good food and friendly. Even if I go someplace else, this is my spot for some New York style Chinese food in Statesville

Have heard rave comment about this place for years and they were right.This has been on my bucket list for some time but never got around to trying till last month. Had suggest it earlier but never got around to it.It's order in and take out. Not table service and no tables to sit at.Told Valerie and Danielle to order what they wanted and I would pick up and as for myself, I would take the Mongolian Beef with Rice.They ordered the Scallion Chicken.After they ordered, i drove up and they were almost finished putting the order together and by the time I had finished, lunch was ready.Took it back to the office and we all sit down at our desks and enjoyed.Both Danielle and and Valerie enjoyed their lunch and both being light eaters had leftovers to take home or enjoy later.In my case since I am the only one who can comment on the actual cuisine, the Mongolian Beef was some of the best I have had in a long time. Cooked properly with just the exact amount of heat and good contrast in taste and texture with the other ingredients.It this was a sit down restaurant, it would be the #1 Chinese Restaurant in Statesville and surrounding areas.

This small takeout Chinese place is really good. I feel it doesn't get the attention it deserves because of lack of dining space. There is literally just one small table in the place and I would assume 99% or more of the orders are for takeout only. With that said, the food is always super hot and fresh and the selections are really good. I've had their sesame chicken and sweet & sour chicken and they are both excellent plates. The rice is very fresh and awesome and their spring rolls are better than many I've had at other places. If you're in Statesville or just passing by, it's a great place for takeout and you won't be left hungry! It's a small place next to a Food Lion so it's easy to miss, but the food is worth trying if you're in the mood for Chinese.

Well I made a worry free decision to stop in here while in town for a meeting with the rave reviews. I had really high hopes for a down right GOOD Chinese food. I will say the lunch specials are priced well and you get a good bit of food but I was disappointed with the chicken quality in my Kung pao chicken. It has that chewy fatty texture to it that isn't satisfying and makes you feel like your dish had no chicken in it... just this rubber swirly substance. The rice was good and the sauce and veggies had a nice crunch and flavor. Luckily the veggies and rice was filling enough. It was made fresh and hot. I would maybe try another item here if I lived nearby to see if this one dish was a fluke but otherwise it won't be on my list of places to go when in town.

Grow green is the best Chinese restaurant in statesville. There is a reason they've been around for nearly 20 years.
