Grits Home Cookin

My husband and I decided to go out on a whim and go to Grits Home Cooking. Let me tell you, their food is fantastic. They don't have any paper menus, however, they write on a big chalkboard what they will be serving. My husband ordered country style steak and gravy with 2 sides, tea and dessert, and I had the hamburger steak with 2 sides, tea and dessert. You can't get any better food than this, and at such a reasonable price. I can't wait to go back there again.

Local countryside dive serving familiar fare to the meat and three crowd. Tiny inside with seating for about 20, service was quick and friendly. All the specials are listed on a large blackboard on the wall. We thought the food was just OK considering the price which was high for the mediocre quality, styrofoam plates, plastic utensils, and no frills ambience.I had hoped for more; unfortunately, nothing to whirl about here for me.

Went to Grits today for lunch. I got the Hamburger steak, okra and potato salad. The Hamburger steak and Okra came out hot. The potato salad was very good. The hamburger steak and okra were excellent. My wife got country style steak and peaches. She enjoyed it as well. We both got pineapple cake for dessert and decided that we would take that home for later. The place is small with just a few tables but the staff is very friendly. Will definitely return again.

Great local "home" cooking. Staff is very friendly and courteous. Food is great and fast service. Highly recommend!!!

Food is always good. Very limited seating. Food is made to order and always hot. Staff is friendly and will get to know you quickly.

We came down from Ohio to visits friends and wanted a good home cooked southern breakfast, Grits did not disappoint! It might be small but the tastes that come out of their kitchen are out of this world.

The bacon cheeseburger and tots were great! Sweet tea was perfect. Food and service was wonderful.

Live near and stop all the time. Never had a bad meal. They're food is very good. Service is ok. So they get 4 stars from me.

Delicious food and great service for a very fair price!!! Will definitely stop in again - the flounder was delicious and the cake was good too!
