Greg's Famous Bar B Q

Cute little place tucked in a little strip mall shopping center. It's been here a while and is full of regulars. Nicely worn and very clean, all the servers were friendly and helpful. More diner fare than a true bbq place, but no worries. They serve breakfast "all day." Very affordable and large portions. We tried the cheeseburger and the chicken pita sandwich. We had french fries, potato wedges, and onion rings. Absolutely no complaint with any of it. They make your hamburgers and cheeseburgers to order, you tell them what you want on the burger. The chicken pita was light, good sauce, and nicely cooked grilled chicken. The french fries, potato wedges, and onion rings were absolutely divine, and definitely more than we could eat.

I didn't know what to expect from Greg's, but when my family and I gathered for lunch here, I was happy with the service, food, location and pricing. (Considering I live in Hawaii, most everything is relatively cheaper).Food was familiar and filling (BBQ, burgers, sandwiches, etc.)The entire family left happy and full, and thankfully I was able to feed the entire clan for less than $100 (9 people) and that is excellent.

This place is tired and not really a BBQ restaurant. My co-worker picked Greg's as we were driving back from Cleveland based on a Trip Advisor rating. We pulled into a strip mall and were quickly seated and handed a menu. Greg's menu looks more like diner there is a variety of items and only two choices for BBQ pork (chopped or sliced). I opted for the sliced and my co-worker the chopped. The food comes quickly with a pile of French Fries on the pork (so much that we had to put them on a napkin to eat). The meal also comes with baked beans and NC hush puppies and red or white slaw. The good was the red slaw which had a nice tangy taste with a barbecue sauce vs. mayo and the hush puppies were sweet and tasty. The barbecue, fried and beans were just OK. Food 3 Sub par BBQ, slaw and hush puppies pretty good. I would not return for the food. Atmosphere 2 Worn seats and interior, ready for an overdue make over. Service 3.5 Courteous and prompt, also ready with the southern to go cups for our tea.Price 4 Food quantity is large and price is low, but the food is just Okay....

Food was good, the portions were big, and I walked out full! Service was great, very attentive and you can't beat the price! Great deal!!

The food and service was average. A large amount of food for the price. The restrooms were dirty. A simple can of paint would make it look much more appealing.

Be Ignored and consequently IgnorBeen awhile since I've been to Greg's which in the past has been mediocre at best. In terms on Service, it's gone downhill from Mediocre and I can not comment on the quality of the food.Walked in today about 12:30. Not particulary busy at the time. Sign said to seat yourself which I did. Picked up a copy of the local newspaper and while I was reading it, another couple walked in and seated themselves as did another couple a few minutes later. The gentleman from the first couple got up and found a copy of a menu at another table.Finished reading the Stateville Landmark and none of us had been approached by any staff member or the restaurant. Finally I got us and left but stopped at the hostess stand at the front to lodge a complaint but she was too busy making sure a take out was OK that she never even looked at me even though I stood there for a lot more than a couple of second.Walked across the parking lot to a Chinese Buffet and was seated immediately.

My kids & I loved it! The food was great & very reasonably priced. The service was good, too. "I'd totally go there again," says my eldest daughter. - my youngest daughter

Never came here before because of her different reviews about it. However I'm glad we ended up coming here today. We were actually going to get Chinese food at the buffet next door but they were having management problems so we came to Greg's. Upon entry we were greeted and sat and even though our waiter took a little bit to get to us she was very kind. My mom had the gyro sandwich and I had the burger with onions chili and slaw on top. My burger meal also came with onion rings and fries, and the presentation of it was awesome. The food was actually really good, the service mediocre, and the atmosphere other cute, down home cooking type of joint. We will definitely be coming back! Really want to try the breakfast. I totally recommend this place.

I love having breakfast here on Saturday mornings! It's cooked just like home and also the staff keep your coffee full, table clean and the food is very fast! I us the French toast with sausage links and hashbrowns with coffee. The sausage was fresh, the French toast had a hint of cinnamon and powdered sugar as well! The hashbrowns were crunchy and soft inside. I love that they even offer Mickie Mouse pancakes for the kids and make it special for them! The restaurant is also very clean and an extra room to the side for groups as well. I really like how each order is made fresh and not reheated or sitting for a while before you order. Their omelette a are huge and I often share mine! The bacon is crispy without having to ask as well. They're closed on Sunday so make sure to plan ahead! I can't wait to return!

we eat at Greg's a lot and never have any complaints. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The food is great and cooked really well. Food portions are still large compared to other restaurants having all reduced theirs. Couldn't ask for a better place for price, food and service.
