Found this bakery on Google and close by. I had a craving for some good fresh muffins. Didn't see any prices posted in store or on website. My family and I are on a strict budget. I was told they had 2 types of muffins, Blueberry and Pineapple, cinnamon nut. She said they had a special buy 5 get 1 free. Saw some Monkey bread, got that too. She rang it up at $29. and change. My heart dropped. I couldn't afford that but, didn't want to cause a ruckus. I got home and made some coffee and saw that I got chocolate chip muffins not blueberry.. and the pineapple taste and evidence of pineapple was no where to be found. With all the people these days with allergies, what if I was allergic to chocolate or an ingredient she told me was in there but was not??!! I being a Chef for 5 diamond 5 star Hotels and such for 40 years would be disgraceful to deceive a customer like this. She just lost a future customer!!

Good fresh bread. If you are gluten free on Wednesday's they have gluten free bread. The best I've had. Not dry but very moist and filling. I suggest to order ahead as they may run out.

If you care about high quality baked goods that are healthy, you can't go wrong to become a customer of the outlets for this Montana wheat based business. Their products, especially the great combinations of the best wheat in the US with cinnamon are exceptional. This woman owned and operated business with 5 locations in Charlotte trying to get established during the pandemic, is remarkable. I've been to many Great Harvest Bread locations in Montana, Washington, and California and have never seen greater dedication to what healthy and delicious bakery products are all about. Nathan

Walked in trying to get a sandwich for lunch, and unfortunately, they are still staffing up post-COVID, and they did not have someone to run the sandwich area that day. I'm not sure if it was just that day or if that's the situation for the near future. I was greeted by Monique who was obviously very passionate about the company and their offerings. She explained what they were all about and encouraged me to visit my local location back in Chicago. Fantastic service, and the Cinnamon Chip bread was excellent!

If you're doing the whole Atkins diet thing-don't even read this review b/c I don't want to be blamed for your downfall. I checked out Great Harvest this morning since I saw I had a BOGO coupon for a honey whole wheat loaf of bread in the Citipass book. Loving all things carbs, I checked online and they were open early. Such a nice change for a morning person like me since many things in Charlotte don't seem to be open early on the wknd! I walked in there and this place is HUGE! Of course the other thing I noticed was the smell of fresh breads being baked, so many flavors, so little time. IHowever, it was filled not only with bread but an inventory of dips, chutneys, sauces, etc. They also have a cart with dry soup mix that is gluten free and looked pretty tasty. I wasn't sure what to get there so I went with Rosemary Garlic loaf to get something with flavor. This girl cooks a lot of Italian food so I am sure I can incorporate it in a meal somewhere. They have toaster and round loaves-which just mean the size of the loaf (I had no clue what they meant when they asked this so I just said toasted in an inquisitive way). Their bread has no artificial ingredients or preservatives and according to their website, shouldn't be refrigerated but can be frozen (they gave me extra bags when I told them I want to freeze mine). They also have a bread card where you buy 12 loaves, you get one free. When I saw others put three $$$ for price on here, I don't agree. The loaves are about $5 a pop and most bread at the supermarket is an average of $3 so I don't think the price is too high, especially for freshly baked bread without preservatives or artificial ingredients. I dig how they have the nutritional info on their website so you can see what you're taking in. They also have sandwiches there besides bread so if you're looking for a quick treat, you should stop on in! Two Citipass coupons--one for a free loaf, the other is for BOGO sandwich.

My first exposure to Great Harvest Bread was from running 5K's and having something to munch on after running. Now that the Run For Your Life store has moved into the same shopping complex, the two of them go well together...especially during the week when I run at 5:30 in the morning... and they usually open up at 7am... [sometimes a little earlier since they see a pathetic looking running running waiting outside the door].Aside from having some super friendly people serving up products, this location is super convenient and you can look upon the Uptown skyline after making your bread/treat selections. One thing I noticed my last visit was that they set out cafe tables and chairs on the side of the building (not seen from the front). They have a couple tables inside as well, but they have a ton of other products you can choose from on their shelves... from the jellies and dry soups in bags. Don't forget their sample board! I always walk in and find something new here.I'm pretty sure this is the location that sponsor a lot of the race events in the Charlotte area where you will find Jeff slinging out yummy stuff after races. My favorite is the cinnamon chip with a little honey drizzle on top..... definitely negates the running I just did, but so worth it.

Stopped by Run For Your Life to pick up a race packet around lunch time, and decided to pop in for a sandwich and I'm so glad I did! It smells amazing upon entering..like you would imagine Christmas Day to smell. They must have been baking a cinnamon raisin bread..so tempting. I decided on the Smokey Mountain Turkey sandwich and the power bar for a later snack. The nice lady taking my order suggested the Dakota bread because it was nice and hearty. Great choice. The sandwich was impressively tasty and satisfying yet simple. Pepper jelly, cream cheese, Bibb lettuce, cucumber and smoked turkey between a hearty fresh bread. Perfect lunch. It came with a pickle spear too-nice little touch. I'm super happy, and I can't wait to try my bar! Will definitely be back..Thank you!

I appreciate the fact that this place offers healthy bread, however these breads are on the sweet side. Breads also have too much moisture which makes them too heavy(chewy) as opposed to light and crunchy. Only if their recipes change to non-sweet version, then I would definitely return.

I walked in and asked if they had anything for breakfast. The woman working there sarcastically said anything they have is on their menu on the counter. She was rude and I did not feel welcome so I left.

I've been looking for a bread company here in Charlotte for a while. I have a heart condition so, my love of bread I have to limit what I can eat. Upon arriving to the store we were greeted immediately with a friendly face. We believe the owner helped us, in any case great customer service!! She explained to us about different types of bread and how it's made and also took us to the back to show us which was super cool. We purchased the honey whole wheat which was the recommendation. She also would not take our money said please try our bread let us know what you think on us.Thank you guys for being so nice!
