Good Karma Ranch welcomed us with open arms. The owner Mike gave us some fun facts and information regarding the alpacas. He was willing to answer questions and gave us a really informative tour. I learned alpacas originate from south America, they almost went extinct and they're related to camels! I also didn't know that they don't have top teeth! The tour was thorough and to the point, we got to feed and interact with the alpaca. You can tell they are well taken care of, because they were willing to socialize with us. Of course they were food motivated, but they also tolerated us after the food was gone! The alpaca are so soft...Alpacas are one of my favorite animals and I'm so happy we were able to interact with them. My son was able to feed them as well and he really enjoyed the experience. We'll be back in the spring to see the new babies! Awesome experience!! Don't forget to stop by their gift shop!

We had a good time visiting the Alpacas farm. We booked online, it was fast and easy. They offered good tips to dress for the weather and wear farm appropriate shoes which is a good reminder to make a farm visit great. The owner led the tour and gave just the right amount of information to make it interesting without it being overwhelming. We then were invited to feed the alpacas and it was something special. We got tips from the owner what alpacas like and do not like beforehand. I thought it is nice and made the experience better both for the alpacas and visitors. In conclusion we visited the store and it offered a good range of alpaca products. I liked socks and toy alpacas. We had a good time at Good Karma ranch!

I've never been to an alpaca ranch so I didn't know what to expect. Our tour started at 1 and we got there early so I checked out the ranch store (full of darling items made of alpaca fiber such as colorful hats, gloves, ornaments, and toys); swung on the store's front porch swing; and took some photos. The fairly quick tour included info on alpacas' past and a walk through the barn. We were soon in the alpaca pen with a bag of alpaca food. The alpacas crowded around, full of interest in the food. It was magical to feed and pet these beautiful and incredibly soft animals. There are only four million alpacas in the world and we're lucky to have this wonderful farm so close to Charlotte.

Inexpensive, family friendly, informative, and fun for everyone! Recently took some friends who were visiting me in the Charlotte area and had a wonderful time. The tour includes time in the enclosure feeding the Alpacas. Feed is provided and there is ample opportunity for pictures.

Took my friend who was visiting to this cute little ranch not too far from the main Charlotte area. We really had a fantastic time and got up really close with the alpacas for a good 1 hour. We got to pet them and the owners explained the habits and lifestyle of the alpacas. They also answered a lot of questions about them if asked. It was really pleasant and the entire thing was held outdoors. We got a ton of picture taking opportunities and even took selfies with these beautiful creatures which was really fun. Do be prepared- dress casually and don't wear your favorite boots as the place will be muddy and there will be poop pebbles everywhere- I mean it's a ranch so it's expected. Right now it's $10 per person and tickets are bought online. There was a small confusion about the ticket being shipped but they go by names once you get there. There is also a cute little gift shop if you want souvenirs and other trinkets. This place is as much for kids as it is for adults who loves animals- especially alpacas!

What a place! A co worker came here a few weeks ago and told me about it, and I thought that it'd be fun for the kids and adults alike. We made reservations for 6 on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon.Mike and his wife greeted us on this 6 acre farm. While we waited for the farm tour to start we walked around and watched the Alpacas, Baby Alpacas, Llama, goats and "guard dog". Very cute. When the tour started Mike spoke for about 10 minutes about Alpaca history and gave us the rundown of the farm. They then let the group into the pasture with about 15 Alpacas to mingle. The Alpacas were very tame and allowed us to take pictures, selfies and pet them. During that time Mike continued to throw out fun facts about the animals and you can tell this family was very caring and passionate about these amazing creatures. In the time of Covid we were yearning for something to do, outside that was safe. Everyone was wearing masks and social distanced. The kids and adults alike had a great time. I'd highly recommend Good Karma. They have a nice store which sells the products made from the Alpacas and they also do Yoga and other things which sound like a blast.
