Gong Cha

The large-sized drinks were smaller than expected. However, I must admit, the drink I ordered was exceptionally tasty, which salvaged some of the experience. Overall, while the drinks are flavorful, improvements in portion size and customer service would greatly enhance the overall appeal of this establishment.

Had a cozy time chatting with a friend over some yummy boba. We ordered some classic milk teas while we were chatting. So glad Charlotte has so many boba options. Gong cha was a favorite when I lived out of state and so happy to see that we have something here for the people! When we visited we had incredible service from Angel! Angel was so attentive and helpful. Even though we stayed for a while Angel was so kind and gently reminded us of closing. Definitely made my first visit memorable. Always appreciate a great boba spot and service.

Hands down the best Boba tea I have enjoyed while in Charlotte. Luckily it's close to our hotel. Thank you Hong.

What a cuuute boba shop! I order here when I get my nails done next door. I got their creme brûlée coffee milk tea boba and it was perfect. I think it was about $7 also.

I was really craving a Vietname coffee and stumbled upon this Boba place. Now they don't sell Vietname coffee, but they do sell coffee, Boba, so I decided to try that out since I didn't want to go too far. This is located in a small shopping center so parking can get packed and hectic if you are not careful. Inside was very clean and nicely decorated. They have a menu to your right at the cashier stand. What I loved about this place is that you can select the amount of ice you want as well as the sugar level. I ended up choosing light ice with 70% of sweetener level. I found that cool as some days if I want it super sweet, I can choose the 100% or less sweet then just go down from the 70%. That's great, in my opinion, bc sometimes I crave super sweet, and sometimes I just want it bitter, haha. They do offer chai, matcha and other juices if you'd like. I'm definitely coming back as it's super close to my job. Highly recommend it if you're in the area.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon after enjoying a Sunday fun day with my best friend. Remembering Gong Cha from my last visit to DC, I decided to stop and grab a boba tea on a hot day for an after pick me up. When I walked in, there were a few people waiting socially distanced for their orders and nobody in front of me in line. I normally get the same things when I go to a tea shop. Typically something fruity and tropical with a green tea base with Boba and sometimes with jelly or basil seeds. That day I got the passion fruit tea with the black pearl Boba and basil seeds, 50% sweet with light ice. The cashier was very friendly and allowed me to take my time to ask questions and even gave me a sample of one of the jellies that I hadn't heard of. Within a few minutes my order was ready and I took it to go. Because of the pandemic they are not doing indoor seating. Additionally all of the staff members wear masks and they require masks for customers.The drink was very good. Not too sweet although I will order it with a little more sweetness when I want a dessert-like treat. I will definitely go back and patronize them again. If you like Boba I definitely recommend this place. The quality is top notch.

I, of course, became obsessed with boba tea in the middle of a pandemic that has now caused a boba shortage. Looks like I'll just have to tackle every boba shop in the city until the boba is gone! Starting with Gong Cha :) I popped in to Gong Cha the other day after dropping off a package at UPS. Their indoor seating was cleared out and there was only open space for social distancing. I was happy to see that but also sad because it looks as if it is a great biz to take insta worth photos when the place is fully setup! But, great reason to return. I love boba but I am not a boba connoisseur so I asked the server for some tips and she very graciously helped me select the most delicious boba tea!We ended up ordering the milk foam brown sugar black tea with boba, light sugar and light ice. The server who gave me my boba told me to be sure I shook it up very well before drinking. I really appreciated that little tip. Loved this spot, loved the boba! Will be back.

Drinks are not that great. I've been to Gongcha before but this location was subpar. The pearls were waaaaay too soft and the tea was overly brewed. It may have been a bad batch. Maybe it was cause we came in the evening and the pearls were out too long. They don't use real tarp but tarp powder too.

Closed again:( This has been my go to boba place in Charlotte, but the last two times my husband or I came by they were closed. The last time was around 5pm last week and they were closed, today we got here at 4:30pm and it is closed..We live an hour away and it's just very disappointing because we actually liked this place a lot;( It just doesn't feel fair and we are repeatedly disappointed.

I had stumbled upon this place while looking for something to drink, and I got exactly what I was looking for. I had gone a couple of days ago and the individual working was polite and nice. I asked her what she would recommend and she was able to give me suggestions based on what flavors and things I like. I got the peach green tea with mango popping pearls. You can adjust the sweetness to your liking which I appreciated. the music was nice to listen to while just sitting there. It wasn't busy so I didn't have to worry about noise from others. I will for sure be returning.
