My friend and I went to Golden Lanes yesterday in Simpsonville and purchased the 2 hour lane package for two for around 26.00.During the course of the 2 hours. Ours Balls continuously got stuck, over and over and over again. If I had to estimate how many times. I'd say not less than 20-30 times on lane 29 and also the lane next to us, or lane 30 were having the same or similar issues. Then to top that off. In most instances. It took 3, 5-10 or more minutes each time to get our balls back, so for us. It's doubtful we actually bowled 1 hour, while paying for two hours.After probably the 8 time going back and forth to desk to ask for help on ball return. I asked the young man with the beard if he could at least accommodate or add an extra 30 minutes due to the abnormal number of balls not being returned?He replied by saying that " he had been bowling for years and that this was NORMAL" which I quickly responded by saying "I had been bowling for longer" and it's not normal at all. I didn't say this to him, but I'm 60+ years old and have bowled in numerous leagues near Greenville, also other cities, states, and even countries and to date. I can say without a doubt. I have never seen so many balls get stuck! This was terrible!!It's obviously a maintenance issue and it need to be fixed! Do not waste you time at this bowling alley.

No social distancing going on. Have a sign to wear mask but that isn't going on. Have other signs telling how they clean equipment but didn't see that. Several lanes not working. One of our lanes kept breaking and we would have to wait a while before it would get fixed really not impressed won't be coming back

Maybe don't advertise 5.99 bowling if you aren't going to charge 5.99. You cannot expect to close early with no notice and expect customers to pay more because "That's the price for two hours of bowling and you'll only be open for 1 more hour". Horrible customer service and terrible attitude at the front desk.

Recently bowled in a senior tournament there. The place is dirty and needs a lot of repair and maintenance. In the men's room one of the two stalls does not lock. Some of the seats in the bowling area are not fastened down. The area around the foul line on the lanes is worn down and gritty making it difficult to see the dots before the line. The hand blowers don't work. I found many marks on my new bowling ball from the machines. This place needs a serious overhaul. Also, the lanes do not have Lane Talk. I am disappointed.

Out of 32 lanes there were 14 broken. We were put on a wait and got a snack and sat at a table and let the guy working know we were sitting over there. So they got a line at the counter and gave about 5 groups that just walked up a lane as we were waiting. So we go over there and say "have you put those people on lanes as we were on the wait list?" He goes "oh I forgot about y'all" while we have 2 conversation with him in within 10 mins. Worst service. Complete ass. Bowling lanes don't even work properly. When we asked if we could get it fixed they didn't care enough to try. Don't go there it smells.

This was supposed to be a fun experience for two of our family members birthday. We even had people drive down from Columbia, and Myrtle Beach got this birthday. Instead it took almost an hour to start, because there were issues with the ball retriever. This is also during COVID and there is nobody wearing a mask, as well as all the lanes are open. All of the lanes being open allows no room for any social distancing.
