Golden China

Most everyone who eats asian food has an opinion about what's good, better or best. You can spend hours reading two or three line comments on FB or Google. Are they really reviews or simply comments?When friends/family talk to me about Yelp and being an Elite reviewer, I have a simple response. Read the reviews of Elite level reviewers FIRST.These are individuals who have traveled on business or pleasure and used the reviews to select where they want to eat while traveling. Typically you will get a reviews that's based on a wide range of previous experience across the State or States and even Internationality.I've been living in Fort Mill/Rock Hill area going on 5 years and I have tried dozens of chinese, japanese, korean and asian fusion restaurants and markets.I can now say that Golden China has the best quality of food.They also excel in price, selection and service. They are family owned and operated.Read the reviews, as of right now, they have 125 reviews with a solid 4 Star average. My favorite selection here is the Triple Delight with fried rice.All the ingredients; chicken, beef, shrimp and broccoli are fresh and taste great! They have a great selection on their menu, reasonable prices, great portion sizes and the place is clean and the Staff is professional and friendly.The parking can be a bit of a challenge at prime time as it's in a busy strip mall location but....it's free!

It's been a very long time since I've been here but decided to give it another try. Not good. Ordered one spring roll. I received two mini (like 1.5 inch long) spring rolls that were empty. Just tasted like fried rice paper. Chicken mei fun had zero flavor - like absolutely zero flavor and very little chicken. Orange beef did not taste like orange or beef. The crab rangoons were okay and the sweet and sour sauce with them was tasty. The reason for the one star. The other star is because the food was ready when I arrived and wasn't crazy expensive. However, still not a value because it doesn't taste good.

Apparently the good Asian food is here and across the street at Lee's. Steel Creek area where I live does have Filthy/Tasteless/Unfriendly Establishments! My opinion of course. The food I ordered here tasted Great and was perfectly cooked! Will be returning soon. Oh and Friendly service!

I Love Golden China. I've been eating here for years. And they have the Best fried chicken wings in South Charlotte!! Loving those Wings.

THE AROMA!!!! Smells so good in here! This is such a beautiful place and it was so nice and quiet until one of the customers came in here hollering at the lady behind the desk I swear she has to have the upmost amount of patience because this lady was literally talking to her as if she couldn't understand what she was saying saw the lady was literally sitting there explaining how she could understand her.... Then the customer proceeded to change your order for different times and got mad because there was a lot of confusion on why her order was $30.... That lady definitely has more patience than I do because I would've told that customer to decide her meal highlight or some thing and then come back...smh some people are so difficult for no reason... after she ordered she proceeded to talk on her phone on speakerphone...smhAnyway! Other than her (lady behind the counter) fantastic patients.... The restaurant was clean and every table had salt pepper and soy sauce there was no shortage of condiments that you may have needed or straws or napkins! I also was in love with the decor my favorite one was the giant blue orchid painting that was on the wall.As far as how the food tasted I ordered the vegetable seafood soup and it was very flavorful and definitely had an abundance jampacked of vegetables and some seafood. My daughter ordered the wonton soup and it was delicious she had absolutely no complaints. My son ordered the sesame chicken and fried rice lunch special and his only complaint was the eggroll was a little soggy with oil but that's normal. Definitely a good place to eat, beware the ignorant customers.Great staff, great customer service!

The food quality has declined over the recent six months. Lack of protein and vegetables in something so simple as beef lo mien is unacceptable. I ordered extra vegetables - good thing or I doubt I would have gotten any! I don't think six pieces of meat is acceptable either. And what Chinese restaurant does not have water chestnuts? We'll be looking for a new place.

We did carry-out from Golden China last night.Extensive menu.No fee for credit card purchases.Help yourself to the duck sauce, hot mustard, and soy sauce."A" grade rating.Very large portions.The Moo Goo Gia Pan was tasty but needed more veggies to balance-out the mushrooms.General Tso's Chicken was good but the broccoli was tough.We will be back.

I stopped by here one Monday evening after service, to get an order of wings combo and to my surprise! The food was fresh they cooked the wings right there , juicy inside nice and crispy outside ! I definitely recommend this place and will order from here again!!!! Update I've gotten wings here past 3 times now and let me tell you they are fresh and golden every time !!! No old brown wings here yalll

The food had no flavor. We had high hopes with the decent rating it had, but were sorely disappointed.
