Ok, 5 stars seems a bit odd for a pizza restaurant. Well, this one is that good. We have eaten at G.O.A.T Pizza before. It is NOT close to our house but when we want pizza, this is our "go to" place. We started with one of their appetizers, Mayweather's Meatballs. There were three in the order, and they are delicious. Now, I do love meatballs so I'm biased but these are good. There are a number of Italian restaurants in the Charlotte atea that could use meatballs this good on their spaghetti! We also ordered three pizzas; the Babe Ruth Meat Lovers pizza, the Buffalo Bill Chicken pizza, and the White Out pizza. We sat in the bar and the bartender offered great options on how to enhance our pizzas. He suggested adding onions and banana peppers to the Babe Ruth Meat Lovers. It was awesome! He recommended adding chicken and mushrooms to the White Out Pizza. Again, awesome. My son ordered the Buffalo Bill Chicken pizza and ate the whole thing in the restaurant....no leftovers. This restaurant is good for families, adult groups, or couples looking for a quiet night out and good food. There are TV's in the bar offering sports but there are no loud speakers. The background noise is minimal....you can talk to the folks at your table. Will definietly go back.

Goat Pizza is a decent spot, especially if you're a sports fan. The place is decked out with football helmets and tons of sports memorabilia, which adds a fun and unique vibe to the experience. It's definitely a chill environment to hang out in, whether you're catching a game or just grabbing a bite. The service was okay--not bad, but nothing particularly memorable. The biggest downside was the wait for drinks. They took forever to come out and didn't arrive until after our food, which was a bit frustrating. As for the food, the pizza was decent. The flavors were good, but it was definitely on the greasy side, so keep that in mind if that's not your thing.Overall, it's a decent spot if you're into sports and don't mind a laid-back, slightly imperfect dining experience. Perfect for game day vibes with friends!

Always excited to welcome a new pizza place to Cornelius! I got a pepperoni and sausage pizza and loved it. Great crust - crispy and chewy, and all around solid pizza and fresh toppings. The wings were great too, I really enjoyed the flavor of the buffalo sauce. Being from Buffalo I take my wing sauce serious haha and this place hit the mark. This will def become one of my go to pizza spots in Cornelius.

GOAT Pizza just opened and the family was eager to check it out. It's a comfortable atmosphere with table service, a full bar, and patio. There are tvs and sports memorabilia throughout the restaurant, keeping with the GOAT theme. The service was attentive which was a positive for a new restaurant. The garlic knots were different with a fried dough or donut type of consistency. They were okay but not necessarily to my liking. The pizza and sauce were solid and the Parmesan crisp added a unique profile to the meatball pizza. Not sure I'd call them Greatest of All Time but if GOAT stands for Good Option Around Town then yes, this place could become one.

This is a new place in the Lake Norman area. I learned that the owner owns a bunch of restaurants (not all in the area). He's excellent at branding. And he seems to have hired the right staff. The hostess was friendly and answered a couple of questions, and Dave the bartender was real chill while also doing his job exceptionally well. The whole vibe here is really good. And we can throw a big plus on whatever tap beer the bartender recommended. It was superb (wish I remembered the name, but I know it's the one all the way to the right on the tap--from the customer side). Unfortunately, the pizza was average at best. If you know pizza, you will be disappointed. If you think Papa John's is amazing, you might like it. I'll return at least one more time to try their Chicken Parm and pasta. Based on the pizza, my expectations aren't high, but maybe it will be surprisingly good. Or maybe this is a wings place disguised as a pizza place. It takes time to figure this stuff out, and only the customers can figure it out. If you're looking for a great, clean, and fun atmosphere (with some outdoor seating as well) and can deal with average-at-best pizza by drinking great beer, then it's recommended. If you're 100% sober, you might want to go somewhere else.

We were in town for our anniversary trip! What an amazing experience and great food. Newly opened and our friend Bobby made our pizza soo good! He is an incredible Chef and we were truly shocked at how different this pizza was. Not your normal basic tasting pizza.... This popped with flavor in every bite. Great portions too!! We will be back. Thanks again Bobby for inviting us and then making it amazing!

We came to GOAT Pizza on opening night and we waited only 30 minutes for a table, so that was nice. We had a drink on the patio while we waited which made time pass by a bit easier. We ordered the jumbo mozzarella cheese sticks but I think they ran out because our cheese sticks were a lot smaller than other orders we saw. They were tasty though but we were a bit disappointed we also order their pepperoni pizza and a buffalo chicken one. The pepperoni pizza was solid and they added some fresh basil on top which was an excellent touch. The dough was awesome and the crust was super good. I wish I had some garlic dipping sauce for the crust and it would have been out of this world. The buffalo chicken pizza was good but I think it needed more buffalo sauce as it wasn't as spicy as it could have been. Our waiter was great, he was a bartender that had to work the floor due to someone calling off. Jim was very attentive even though waiting table isn't his normal job. The atmosphere was cool with a lot of sports jerseys and gear. The wife and I hope to come back and sit at the bar and enjoy a drink and order some food. I am looking forward to trying some different pies.

Food good, service is awful. Waited longer for a beer than 3 pizzas. If you order a cocktail come back tomorrow to get it. Avoid at all costs. Papa John's is a better option.

5 star pizza. 2.5 star layout. 2 star service. 1 star other 'stuff' First off - pizza was the best I've had in a really long time. We also got mozzarella sticks and they were great too.. the marinara (pizza sauce) was legit. Possibly the best pizza I've had in Charlotte. Layout was nice.. open kitchen as you walk through the door, they had a lot of TVs, etc.. It seemed like a family-friendly-pizza-sports-bar.. not perfect but it worked pretty well. The downside was it seemed the servers were also working the bar and the wait for drinks was annoyingly long. Service was just okay. I don't think our server had bathed in a few days. He was friendly and relatively responsive but really poor manners.. Okay so the other 'stuff' that I 1-starred.. the place was dirty. Underneath the tables had food on them from the previous guests, the menus all had pizza sauce or food crusted to them. The bathrooms were dirty and smelled funky... and on two different occasions the entire place smelled like weed, coming from the kitchen. I'm talking strong MJ smell coming out of there, to the point my 6 yr old daughter was questioning what the smell was.... AND THEN - I went to the wash my hands after dinner, looked into the kitchen as I was coming back and noticed one of the chefs licking pizza sauce off of his hands and fingers. No gloves - right between the counter and the pizza oven - licking his hands, and went right back to making food. Unfortunately, we probably won't be back after seeing that. It's a shame too b/c the pizza was legit.
