The food was amazing. The service was over the top and the place looks amazing. It's like finding a nice place in a town that isn't too busy but this was the spot.

Best breakfast in town! To fat and lazy from breakfast to make it for lunch..I will get there sooner or later

Great old school Mom and Pop home cooked meal restaurant. You pick up your tray and pick out your meat and side dishes. I had the Chicken Pot Pie. It was yummy loaded with Chicken, Peas, Carrots in a creamy sauce encased in a golden flaky crust. My sides included Lima beans, tomatoes and cukes salad and sweet cokked apples. The people were so friendly! They checked in me several times. The decor is old school wood paneling and feels like you have stepped back in time to a charming local hang out with friends. A definite stop in downtown Chester.

We stopped by yesterday. Server was good although she messed up our orders. Not to bad. Good atmosphere. Old style cozy diner. I had club sandwich and she had ham sandwich. Food was ok. Priced reasonably. We will return if we make it before closing time.

Traditional Diner in a Southern small town. Crammed full of customers. Great food, great prices, and good service for being as busy as they are! Friendly staff and Country cooking! Traditional breakfast and lunch.

This is your local mom and pop ! Also known as a meat and three. I would definitely recommend the chicken pot pie along with the greens. My partner ordered the pork chop and coleslaw. Buffet style down home cooking at its best !

We go for breakfast or lunch, great staff, a family environment and gathering place for old friends. I love the people, the atmosphere, the food, the convenient downtown location with lots of parking, and be sure to admire the wall decorations - a lot of history there and a love for our diverse culture here in Chester.

Another amazing meal at Gene's restaurant. On Saturdays they serve breakfast until they close at 2 PM. The country ham at this place is the best I've ever eaten. The hashbrowns or crispy and the eggs over easy or perfect. Not to mention the great coffee! I highly recommend coming here.
