Gary L. Pittman Memorial Park

Our family frequents this park more than any other. Plenty of parking and restrooms are available. The playground is easily accessible via stairs or a path that curves around the restroom area for those with a wheelchair. It is definitely an advantage to have the playground shaded by large trees. Just be aware that the trees do shed their large roller seeds that young toddlers can easily slip on. Still, I'd rather take shade over blatant sun exposure and a playground that turns into a furnace. The playground could use a bit of an upgrade and a new mulching job, but my boys love playing here. Included are a few slides and swings within a curbed area. Surrounding the playground are soccer fields and walking trails (my boys also use it to ride their bicycles). One loops all the way to the east past residences. If you're fortunate you may hear some of the wild turkeys gobble in the woods; too bad their territory is shrinking. Happy yelping!

Hidden gem! I've been here several times. I've always felt safe. I've never seen people walking their dogs here even with or without a leash. The park is shaded which is a plus. Is it high tech like unity park? No, but my kids love going here!

This park offers multiple soccer fields, a walking path, and a decent playground. The best feature of the playground is the canopy of trees, it shades the equipment and keeps the slide from getting hot.

Dangerous, We live in the neighborhood next to this park and we thought this would be a great place to walk our dogs. But unfortunately there are way too many loose/off leash dogs running thru this park. We have been confronted many times by these loose dogs coming after our dogs that we have on a leash. I have even been attacked by a dog owner when his off leash dog came after my leashed dog and I push the dog away from mine. I am afraid some of the kids playing here in the park are going to get attacked or bitten by one of these loose dogs. Greenville County has a leash law but no one pays attention and its getting real dangerous here.
