GANBEI Japanese Restaurant & Bar

Great tasting food. No complaints here! Parking right in front of the restaurant was a little odd, but there is plenty of space to park elsewhere. We eat outside with our dogs, but the inside look pretty nice.

What a fantastic meal!My family of three visited Ganbei Japanese Restaurant & Bar on a Friday around 5 PM. We were immediately seated and were able to sit near the back of the restaurant. The atmosphere was quiet, but trendy. The restaurant was about half full. We ordered sushi and crab rangoon to start and had the chicken hibachi and sweet & sour chicken as entrees to share.The California roll was delicious. We liked it so much that we ordered an extra one because we all wanted more. The spicy salmon roll was great and my husband ate the whole thing almost by himself. The crab rangoon was perfect and was served with a sweet & sour dipping sauce. It was just crispy enough, but not over-cooked.I really liked the sweet & sour chicken, but the chicken hibachi stole the show. We all three thought the hibachi was the best part of our meal and I would definitely order it again.Our server, Cole, was great. He was extremely attentive and checked on us frequently. They did forget the soup and salad, but we were so full from what we ordered that we didn't miss it at all. Cole apologized about missing the soup and salad and offered to pack it up to-go, but we declined as we were heading out for shopping.The total for our food, two sodas, and two beers was about $75.Everything was fantastic and we would definitely return.

Came back here again and left feeling satisfied! Excellent service this time go round, met at the door with a pleasant smile and the sushi was prepared perfectly as always with fresh ingredients.

The ambiance and service are great! The food was amazing. Make sure you reserve a table in advance to avoid long waiting times

The food is good the service is good but I found the place so noisy I don't usually go there. I like comfortable meal or we can talk with family that isn't the place for that. The best part says sometimes you can get a booth which is a little bit better.

Mediocre. Got a crab roll and it wasn't brought out first. I ordered the ribeye hibachi. Steak was all fat. Veggies were cold. Food bland. Way too expensive for what it is. Took forever and waitress wasn't very attentive for people ordering drinks and wanting white sauce when their food came and having to wait to be asked if we needed anything. Yes you just brought our food I'm sure we would like to be asked if we needed anything before they walk off not caring. Will not be coming here again. Food yuck!

Great sushi! Service was quick and easy! They have a very extensive menu for sushi which I love. Drinks were strong in my opinion but my partner needed more lol ! Would def return when in the area.

My first time eating here. I got teriyaki chicken hibachi w/fried rice, miso soup & ginger dressing for salad. The Hibachi had very few vegetables but a lot of old, limp zucchini. Gross. I think it was rotting before they then overcooked it. The rice had no flavor and the green peas in the rice were hard! I asked for yum yum sauce... got an orange colored salad dressing. Definitely not the white creamy yum yum sauce I'm used to... it tasted too sweet & gross. The dark meat chicken was gray & rubbery. I've had microwaved meals that are better than this. Very disappointed. No way would I try their sushi if they can't get Hibachi right

Well where do I start ? For an appetizer, we got the new menu item, the calamari, and only got the tentacles. If you eat calamari then you know the tentacles can be the most unpleasant part. It wasn't until after it came out that we were told that was the only pieces available. The sushi also wasn't that great. I got the Ganbei roll and that tasted mediocre. Tasted more like sushi from a Chinese buffet. Lastly we got the hibachi. The veggies and rice were good but the chicken was chewy with all the fat. The chicken also didn't seem like it was of good quality. Honestly just go to Miyabi's or Miyabi's Jr (a walk away) if you want good Japanese hibachi.

The atmosphere is quaint yet loud. The staff is experienced and can make selections if you are interested. The menu is excellent and a good fusion of Asian foods such as hibachi, sushi, Chinese and Japanese. If you don't see a sushi roll that meets your craving just let the staff know and they will be Happy to get it for you. We eat here at least 1-2 times a week
