Fuji Express Japanese Restaurant

Fuji is a really great place to eat. We eat here once a week and one thing is that they are always consistent! If you have never been here they serve Japanese hibachi. All plates come with their white shrimp sauce, but we always order sides of teriyaki too. The carrots are sweet tasting so good. But not for everyone. We usually get our food to-go. But have eaten inside many times. They speak English there well so worries on that. Everyone is very feeling. They are extremely quick. Again very consistent! The decor is very cool yet basic. Nothing too outrageous. Family friendly, the bathrooms are clean and don't smell. Fully stocked with paper and soap! Which is a plus in my book. Definitely a place I would recommend for some fast food Japanese!

Writing this during covid era and I want the best for the business but the truth for the consumer. I came here upon a recommendation and saw the reviews were not bad. Either people don't know what good food is supposed to taste like or the people reviewing have no taste. This place is sub par. Really outdated and needs a renovation.The free soup that was given is like a chicken broth with no flavor that was not palatable. The food came out within 3 minutes of ordering which is alarming quick for teriyaki. The rice tastes like it came out of an uncle Ben's packet and did not taste fresh. The beef was chewy and chicken was dry. The mushrooms were not cooked enough and still crunchy. The carrots also seem like they came out of a can and are very sweet and soft. The only way to eat the food was thanks to the sweet white sauce that came with the plate to mask the flavor.Definitely not a 4 star restaurant. If you like the food then you have a desensitized palate from all those freezer foods and fast food you have been eating. On a good note the old guy who seemed like owner was nice.

I think the allure to Fuji Express is the pricing. Super cheap food, huge quantities, and all was fresh as well as delicious. While we were on the highway we yelped Japanese food and this was at the top of the list. I don't know if it was an oversight on our part, but we thought we'd be able to order a couple of sushi rolls but you wont find that here. So if you're specifically looking for sushi; keep on searching. Otherwise, sit back and enjoy. I got my vegan fix at under $10 so I am definitely not complaining.Side note - if you're into spicy food, ask them to bring over some of their fresh chillies; spectacular!

Love Fuji's! You get a lot of delicious food at a good price. I normally get veggie habachi, but the last time I got tofu and it was so yummy! I almost always can't finish my plate - so it ends up being two meal for me! (Leftovers) fast takeout or dine in. I love the dine in because you get a complimentary soup broth which is so yummy! Sweet Tea is always right about of sweetness too.

Definitely recommend it.. quick lunch/ dinner for the price is amazing . Food taste good.. quick and clean with the service . Eat here every time I visit.

Tried again but same results... wait staff couldn't care less. One waiter to do the entire back while two stand around...Spartanburg is much friendlier and everyone works the restaurant...

Have bad attitudes and just for for the the same cup they charged me three dollars a drink in the same cup that I already paid for and I know I will never be going there again so you don't have to ask me me for two and I asked for cherry Pepsi to go I gave it I just sweet tea !

Saw a roach come out of the kitchen on the wall and crawl around near our tableStaff saw it but did nothing about it

Food is made fresh to order, quick and cheap! Perfect place for a healthy option at lunch time. If your in a hurry and need t bite, come here!

Very fast and fresh food. Good quality and very affordable. Staff is friendly and quick to refill beverages.
