The Frothy Rooster in Hickory is an incredibly charming farm-style restaurant with a welcoming, friendly atmosphere. While the service took a bit longer than anticipated, especially given the light crowd, there were a few small hiccups during our visit. A couple of menu items were unavailable due to a shortage of avocado, and ranch dressing, which is a personal favorite of mine, was not an option something that might not matter to everyone but is a must-have with my meals.That said, the food more than made up for these minor issues. The dishes were exceptional, with flavors and presentations that stood out from other brunch spots I've visited. Their inventive sauces, like the bourbon ketchup and homemade maple syrup, added a unique touch to every bite. The short stacks were perfectly fluffy, the buffalo chicken sandwich had the right balance of crispiness and spice, and the fries were delightfully crunchy. My vanilla cold brew with cold foam was also spot-on.Despite the small setbacks, I believe we may have caught them on an off day. Overall, The Frothy Rooster delivered a fantastic meal, and I wouldn't hesitate to return.

We were the first one there and wasn't too sure if they were open. The interior was beautiful and they have outdoor seating. The food was good, the crisp fries with the sauce was good. They have jalapeno sausage and it was good to. Service was very quick and helpful! Will be back! So if you're in the area, stop by and give it a try

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Frothy Rooster in Hickory, North Carolina, and it was an experience worth sharing. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the inviting, rustic charm of the decor. The ambiance is warm and cozy, perfect for both a casual meal or a special night out.The menu is diverse and exciting, offering a mix of classic Southern comfort food with a modern twist. I started with the fried green tomatoes, which were perfectly crispy and paired with a tangy remoulade sauce. For my main course, I opted for the chicken and waffles. The chicken was juicy and well-seasoned, and the waffles were light and fluffy, complemented by a drizzle of maple syrup that tied the dish together beautifully.

Ambiance was great and the food was okay. Our waiter could have been friendlier and more attentive. But we loved the decor and feeling of this place. We both asked for eggs over medium and got eggs with broken and hard yolks. The breakfast potatoes were not freshly made, that I could tell. Probably frozen Ore-Idas. The avocado "toast" was a bagel. Not great. Loved the London Fog tea. Everything was presented well, but the quality was so-so. Now they need a good chef to prepare really well-made dishes with fresh ingredients to be presented on all those pretty dishes.

My new favorite breakfast place! The inside is super cute, the service was great , and so was the food/coffee. We both had the veggie skillet came with a side of pancakes that were delicious!

What a cute breakfast/brunch spot right in downtown hickory. Service was excellent, my Bloody Mary with bacon was yummy and the eggs Benedict was perfection. Think this place is fairly new but we're so glad we happened upon it. I don't have a single complaint about this place. I really enjoyed my eggs Benedict and the egg was cooked perfectly. Love when the yolk breaks and coats all the stuff with buttery, yolky goodness. Makes my mouth water just thinking of it. Definitely will be making this spot my regular when I visit the fun and cute Hickory.

Really good place ... great food excellent service ... Very clean draws a nice crowd.Had not realized it is also Cowasake ...$$$.

Loved this place! It's so bright and airy. The menu is creative and the food was delicious. We'll be back next time we're in town! The servers were great, too.

Finally made it here for breakfast. Food and service were amazing! Shauna dad a fantastic job taking care of us. Highly recommend.

Food was amazing, the service left a big to be desired. They were not exceptionally busy but it took a long time for everything, from drinks and ordering to getting our check. What was meant to be a quick brunch was probably close to an hour and a half total for two people. The prices felt high for the quality and especially for the experience.
