When I visited this bar, I was greeted by a man who scanned me with a metal detector before I got to the desk. I paid my rather expensive cover charge and went inside to enjoy a night out.I was rather surprised that the drinks were high priced and the bar was not set up very well. With another country and western bar/club not too far up the road, I thought that the prices would be competitive, but they weren't.The band had a lot of energy, but did not sound very good. They encouraged trashy behavior by asking all of the women with no self esteem to come up on the stage and "shake it". I was afraid that the stage may collapse with all of that weight. Frankly, it was disgusting. I had to look away. There were several small bars in the club and plenty of CANS of beer being drunk. Yes, I said cans. I cannot justify spending $5 on a can of beer, but they also have beer on draft. If you like the kind of nightlife where you spend way too much money and don't have to worry about showering or brushing your tooth before you go out, this is your place. If you like to take care of yourself and have a good relationship with your dentist or your bank account, I would recommend a different venue.

I like the Frontier on Saturday nights, but Friday nights are dead and there is still a cover charge of $6 for members and $8 for non-members. There is a decent house band, but if you go 10 times, you hear the same band 10 times and they are not that good. My biggest complaint of Frontier is that they have no food. If I go to a place and spend several hours, it would be nice to at least get a slice of pizza. I would still recommend it if you want a place to go on Saturday nights, but the action does not really start till after 10.
