Today, I decided my husband and I should go to Front Porch and Provisions in Dallas since I wasn't up for cooking. We were greeted with a big smile by the hostess, who immediately seated us. The first impression of the restaurant is that it truly has a beautiful, homey feel. I also read and spoke with the owner on the phone; they get their food locally sourced in NC.Our server was Nora, accompanied by Mallory, who was in training. When I tell you I felt so at ease and relaxed, I just gabbed away (the hubby doesn't always like that ). He calls it "pacman."Anywho, enough about me To drink, we ordered lemonade and Sprite, along with a starter of their Southern Deviled Eggs . The drinks and deviled eggs came out pretty fast. I did notice a few things I wasn't too fond of, but believe me, this doesn't take away from our experience.1) The deviled eggs have mustard that, for the most part, wouldn't bother me, but it was truly overpowering the flavor. 2) I understand keeping eggs cold , but they were too cold in my opinion. Almost as if they were close to freezing.3) They placed plastic plates for the appetizer (deviled eggs ), and the eggs themselves were in a disposable bowl. Even though the restaurant has a homey feel, this is not cohesive with the beautiful decor. Most of the plating was in wire baskets lined with paper and ramekins, which I found cute. That homey feel is what makes this place quaint and welcoming. On to the food!!!!I ordered the BLT--country buttered white Benton's bacon, heirloom tomato, local greens, and Duke's mayo. With a side of their Pimento Mac & Cheese and Loaded Baked Potato Soup . Wellllllll......A BLT, to many, may be boring, but my stomach wanted something not overbearing. Truthfully, that type of sandwich can easily be messed up. They did not mess it up at all. It had the crunch of bacon while still keeping everything together well, and the toasted bread was not soggy (THANKFULLY).The baked potato soup was my favorite; it was a perfect balance, and I loved its creaminess. Nora had suggested the pimento mac & cheese, and that was perfectly cooked; the noodles were not mushy. The hubby ordered the Ghost Pepper Sandwich--your choice of smash burger or fried chicken, covered in our signature ghost pepper sauce on a toasted brioche bun, Served with your choice of side. His side was waffle fries. He ate all his fries and said they were good. The star for him, the sandwich . Funny, he was slightly skeptical at first because the edges were so crispy that he thought to himself, this might end up being overcooked. Well, he was delightfully surprised that the chicken was juicy, tender, and flavorful, not bland at all. His only qualm was that he wanted more heat. I had the pleasure of chatting up the beautiful owner, Blythe, throughout the meal. Many people lack conversation skills, but she definitely does not. (Believe me, my fifth-grade teacher always told me I was a chatterbox ) This whole experience was truly amazing. I can't wait to go back, maybe even for breakfast. We also took a slice of the homemade cheesecake and the Italian coconut cream cake to go.Thank you, Blythe, Nora, Mallory, and Felicia, for the amazing experience and customer service! Oh, yes, I almost forgot! They display and sell items from many different local vendors. How cool is that? So my husband bought me a beautiful bracelet.**I could go on, but if you made it this far and weren't bored, bless you, and thanks. **

My husband and I have been so anxious to try this place, we finally heard it was open so now it's go time! We heard that they had live music on Saturdays so we chose to pay a visit last night. To our surprise the outside patio in the front was filled with families and people from the town. The atmosphere was fun, happy and soulful. While everyone gathered at the tables with their meals they had local talent singing and playing the guitar for entertainment. We loved the feel of the atmosphere so we decided to go in and grab a bite. The owner, Blythe, walked over and greeted us; she was very lovely and personable which made us feel more comfortable. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the hostess at the register and she was very nice and gave us some really good recommendations. I ordered the Dallas Hot Chicken Sandwich with the seasoned fries. The sandwich taste amazing, ingredients were fresh - the chicken was juicy and tender slapped with some homemade coleslaw on the top and hot sauce; both coleslaw and hot sauce juices was dripping down my arm - so delicious. The seasoned fries were not greasy however, I believe it was fried too long; it was hard to bite into them. I also ordered the potato salad on the side as well, it was homemade and fresh, seasoned very well and very flavorful. This restaurant is going to bring the town of Dallas together, we finally have a place in town to hang out. I will be back soon with my friends for lunch. Thank you for the wonderful service FPP!

This sandwich was to die for with the goat cheese and the fig jam. This restaurant is an old tire shop which I think is super cool. The food is all local and I love that even more. The food was fresh and delicious. It's far from me but I'll recommend this place to everyone and I'll be back if I'm in the area!

Amazing crispy waffle fries with house made, secret recipe, spicy ranch dip. You must try this!!! They are unforgetabley delicious! And crispy. My date says the Reuben sandwich that she had was probably the best one she's had around here. It was big enough for her to take half of the sandwich home. I had the burger and it was very, very good. It comes with two big patties. It would have been fine with just one patty. Our server was extremely pleasant, friendly, and helpful. Cool atmosphere. All of the tables were different. Like home dinning tables and chairs. The room was spacious with high ceilings. The music was unique, for example, Leon Redbone was one of the artists we heard. We'll bring friends the next time we visit. We left satisfied with the food and the overall experience! Prices are reasonable.

Came here today with my boss for lunch and we both got the Dallas Hot Chicken Sandwich with waffle fries and it was AMAZING. Everything tastes fresh and the quality is 10/10. Top 3 chicken sandwiches i've ever had for sure. Kim was our server and made sure we had everything we needed and kept our drinks full! We sat outside on the turf since the weather was nice and it was a good vibe!

The food was good definitely one of the top gourmet burgers ive had but not the best burger ive had , the service was amazing , my drink never went empty , the waitress was very polite and informative, the ambiance was better than expected judging from the outside it looks as if there is not much seating but definitely has the room to hold quite a bit. love the waffle fries and the pimento cheese will definitely go back.
