Friendly Billiards

This a great family friendly place! I was afraid it would be very loud, but was surprised to only hear low conversational murmurings. We were seated as soon as we arrived! Our server, Khia, was very sweet and helped us with menu choices! My husband and I both had the hamburger steak smothered with grilled peppers and onions. It was the best hamburger steak I've had in a long time! It had an amazing flavor enhanced by the peppers and onions that totally covered it! My sides were green beans and coleslaw. As we finished our meal, we were happy to find that there was a live band warming up to entertain everyone! What a fun evening!

Way better than the fancy restaurants in Charlotte. All restaurants should be this good. Consistency in heat of the food and the flavor was all there. So impressed with this place! The strawberry lemonade cider was good and they have good beer on tap. Definitely recommend coming here. Live music with the classics and friendly atmosphere. Everything came in a timely manner. The fried okra, pickles, and green tomatoes were on point. Hand battered and delicious. Exactly what you want when you want to eat those. Crispy warm and fresh. The shrimp and grits were amazing. Very creamy thick grits to compliment the flavorful shrimp. Bits of sausage and green pepper too!

Visited Friendly on Saturday mid afternoon. Restaurant was not crowded at all. Has plenty of regulation size pool tables in excellent condition and plenty of TVs for the sports fans. The place was clean and seemed to have plenty of servers (especially for the small number of patrons).My wife and I decided to split the appetizer sampler platter when we were informed that they had no cauliflower or jalapeno poppers due to supply issues. We opted for cheese sticks, okra, onion rings, and macaroni cheese bites.The food was good (not great) and is clearly frozen food that is dropped in a deep fryer when ordered. Obviously none of the items on this sampler were made in house. Came with a small plastic dish of marinara sauce and a small dish of Ranch dressing.Service was slow which is hard to understand since the ration of staff to customers seemed quite high.If you want to shoot pool or watch sports then this a good place to go.

I'm giving four stars for the server Christy who always hustles and takes great care of us every single time we are there. She is the sole reason we return. However, if it weren't for her, the rating would drastically decrease. On one of our most recent outings, we arrived at 4pm when they stated they opened. The middle aged, short-haired bartender was one of the most inhospitable people I've had the displeasure of dealing with. She made us feel like our presence and patronage was unwanted. She told my partner that she could not choose the flavor of white claw she wanted to drink it would just be random. !?!? Seriously!? Never in my life have I heard of such nonsense. I put in an order for chicken tenders and it took over 45 minutes to get them. Mind you, we were one of two small groups of people in the restaurant. The kitchen staff was just standing around the grill waiting for something to do. It was so obvious that this bartender did not bother to put our order in. Christy showed up at 5 and everything went smooth as pie. There was ample staff there from 4-5pm yet no one wanted to help us. We had to keep walking over from the pool area to the bar to get awful service from the rude bartender. My suggestion to this restaurant would be a) don't open at 4 if you don't want people in the building. We definitely felt unwanted. b) fire that bartender. She is toxic and is killing your business. I've read other complaints about her. c) promote Christy because she is the image you want for your brand.

I have eaten at this place twice and both times I was disappointed. The burgers were not cooked as requested. They were not completely done. I had to take my husband's burger back bc his burger was running blood. The only thing good here is the fried califlower.

Good burgers and fries are to die for; service is excellent. It's bit run down inside more of bar then a food joint. Barley and Burgers next door has better burgers, but there's always await.

We really enjoyed our brunch a few Sundays ago, everything tasted yummy and plenty of selection.The staff and owners were extremely nice.Plan to return in the future.

First, this place has be completely remodeled. It looks wonderful, clean and modern inside. I have eaten there several times. Staff was friendly and service was great. Prices were very competitive.The appetizers, wings and burgers are awesome, but the blackened salmon salad is the best I've ever had. I'm going back.

Very disappointed. This place has billiard tables & big TVs all along the walls playing various sporting events. So you would think it's a sports friendly place BUT we were there Sunday watching a soccer match. There were only 5 of us at our table. When our team scored we all cheered & high-fived five each other. This was the first & only time we cheered that day. A short dark haired employee hurried to our table to tell us to be quiet because it was Sunday a church day & we could not be disturbing other people's lunch. He was very rude & confrontational w us. Im sure fans cheer when their sports teams score. If they do not want fans watching sporting events then they need to take the TVs down. We will not be meeting to watch matches at Unfriendlys again. We usually have on average 10 people w us and will be taking our business elsewhere.

Hands Down The Best BLT in town !The Georges know the food business.Not a bad place to bust a rack of 9 ball either.Good Folks.
