Fresh Egg Restaurant

I loved their cobb salad. It was loaded with crispy bacon, grilled chicken, avocado, and a perfectly boiled egg. The ranch dressing was light and flavorful, making this hearty salad a great meal on its own.

This is a great, and very popular local diner. They are routinely slammed and they still get your order out quickly, accurately and with kindness!! Kudos!! I visited three days in a row (so I clearly liked it). I just need more seasoning. That's a "me" thing, I guess.

In the beginning when we lived in Cornelius, this was the original location forFresh Chef Restaurant which has since grown into a respectful medium sized chain with probably something like at least 10 locations if not more.As I pointed out, this was the original location, and they quickly outgrew it but still it thrived. Several years later, another larger space in the same strip mall opened up and because available so the owners jumped on it. That said, they kept the lease on the original location and reopened it as Fresh Egg Restaurant. In other words, a Breakfast Concept and it was done well since.It's only open from 7am to 4pm so you're looking at Breakfast/Brunch type menu. Great selection of Omelets and my favorite in the California Omelet with Bacon, Avocado and Cheddar Cheese. Wife is not normally a breakfast person but she likes the Crab Cake Benidict. Some breakfast potatoes and fantastic fresh brewed black coffee and the perfect was to start your day.

Kristy and Laura Lee took great care of me, my mom and daughter. Customer service always seals the deal for me or is a dealbreaker. The deal was sealed. I pulled up to the door to let my mom out who uses a walker. Before I could get her out of the car, the manager I think came out and held the door open for us. She had even already selected the nearest table to the door and had our menus on the table. Come on! I knew then it was going to be a good experience and it was. I got some sort of shrimp and grits dish with this cream sauce which was delicious. I was told it's not always on the menu so I wanted to try it. Beware there is bacon in it. I typically don't eat pork but it was still delicious. Our service was great and both of our servers were very friendly. The kindness and care towards my Mom really stood out. We came in the afternoon on Saturday which was a great time. We were told in the morning there's usually a 45 minute wait. Food is so fresh. They serve breakfast and lunch and ended up closing while we were there. However we were not made to feel like we had to hurry our meal and get out. The bathroom is clean. Private single room. Large enough for my mom to take her walker in. Restaurant is not huge so if you appreciate quaint this is it. They also own Fresh Chef a few doors down. Both are worth checking out!

Excellent food and excellent service, popped in for Sunday brunch and had a wonderful experience

Nice little breakfast spot with waitresses as sweet as peach tea. Amped my avocado toast with a cheddar biscuit in lieu of toast - yummy! Cheddar grits were solid, but nothing to write your Southern mama about.

Came here for brunch on a Thursday at noon & was seated & served right away. The dining room is small but it moves through pretty quickly. Got a Western omelet with a biscuit & fried potatoes as well as a coffee. All really really good!! Will be back.

I had the worst chicken pie I have ever tasted all though it was looking good it was awful no thank you !

The service was fast and friendly. The food was hot and tasty. We really enjoyed our meal and will return for lunch 8n the future.
