Great atmosphere and staff is freindly. Breakfast is only served on the weekend (opens at 8).We have been here several times and I just realized I had not reviewed them. The food us fresh and tasty. Portions are amazing. I had the Vegie omelet see photo it comes with a bread side (I had the cheddat biscuit) as well as an additional side (see the fries phoro). I had a glass of unsweetened iced tea as well.My husband had the Baja omelet with a side of bacon and a cheddar biscuit. Our entire bill was $22.15Definitely check this place out. They also have dinner specials Monday through Sunday.

I've always went after the lunch rush so service will be good...well most of the time that's not the case...it's not terrible, but you better not be in a hurry because they tend to disappear.Taco Tuesday is great and well worth it!Huge delicious burger deal on WednesdaysTheir wraps are very good and healthy too.

Fresh Chef was a pleasant breakfast surprise on a Sunday morning after our "go to" place was over-crowded. Servers were efficient and friendly and the food was reasonable and tasty. This restaurant has ample seating, easy parking and overall it exceeded my expectations. It is next to Harris Teeter store so it is easy to grab a few necessities if needed after breakfast. Keep in mind that breakfast is only served on weekends. I recommend you try this location.

The kale salad is amazing but..... the inconsistency of the salad. Some days it's super dry and some days it's so citrusy it's hard to eat. Today it has no citrus at all so it's very bland. Maybe I should just drive to the Charlotte location after experiencing this so often.

I could not be more impressed with this place! Above all, service is top notch and that really goes a long way in my book. Our waiter was friendly and attentive while giving us plenty of time to study the menu and make our decisions. He was happy to answer any questions and gave us excellent recommendations. I don't think you could go wrong with any menu option, though.Everything seems to be made with high quality ingredients and has attention to detail that you don't seem to find as often these days. It made for an excellent meal and I'm already dying to return! The menu offers an extensive range of options with a heavy focus on fresh ingredients to make choosing something healthy easy. Of course the meatloaf special caught my eye along with their amazing salad options. The meatloaf eventually won out but trust me, it wasn't an easy decision to make as I seen some really awesome plates pass by our table as we tried to make up our minds. I will certainly be back to try the salads because my side salad alone was possibly my favorite part of the meal! And that's not to say the rest wasn't as good, but the salad was just as amazing as everything else. It was topped with tons of toppings to include cherry tomatoes, red onion, diced cucumbers, lots of cheese, and sliced mushrooms. Everything was well mixed before plating to make sure every bite included toppings and you didn't have to make a mess trying to stir it in the bowl that is doing well to contain such a large salad. The creamy garlic dressing I chose after my first choice was out was delicious. The waiter told me it is their version of ranch dressing. It has the same creamy texture but an even better flavor and is certainly one I would choose again. There wasn't an overpowering garlic flavor which I tend to worry about with anything labeled "garlic" in the name. The meatloaf was covered in a Marsala sauce instead of the traditional ketchup or gravy (as it may seem in photos), which was different than I expected but so very good. There's a depth of flavor that pairs so well with the meat and potatoes of the dish. The portions are substantial and I had leftovers of both the meatloaf and salad to take home that were perfect for lunch the following day. Always a win! My husband ordered the Cajun pasta with blackened filet, which I had also been eyeing and was happy to trade bites to sample. It was even better than I could imagine and I would love to order it for myself once I get a few of the salads I am craving off my list of next tries. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare as he requested and it didn't require any cutting with a knife. The pasta is presented somewhat deconstructed to create a nice presentation and upon stirring all together, it makes the most perfect creamy sauce with tons of flavor. Even with sharing, we still had a decent size portion of leftovers to again share for lunch the next day. You certainly get your money's worth here as the food it top notch in flavor and quality of ingredients and you have fairly large portions that make for extra meals if your willpower or stomach size can stop you from devouring the entire thing all at once. I look forward to trying more of their menu and revisiting some of the favorites I found on our initial trip. Oh! And speaking of favorites, I almost forgot one of the other shining menu options we had that night! The spinach dip appetizer. It was possibly one of the best spinach dips I've ever had and I know that could be dismissed easily but really, don't miss out on this dip! The chips were perfectly crispy and salted and once you set a few off in a plate, you find the amazing dip that is perfectly creamy and flavorful. It's a good sized portion to hold you over while ordering and awaiting the entrees but isn't super heavy and filling to the point you don't have much room for the rest of your meal. Solid option for an appetizer and one I will certainly order again. All in all, I would highly recommend this restaurant and feel like you can't go wrong no matter what you order. There's certainly something for every craving and the staff are great resources in helping to decide. I'm already wanting another salad for lunch as I write this! The vibe is casual but the staff and food are top notch. It's perfect for lunch or dinner and I have seen some pretty awesome photos of their breakfast options as well. Definitely give them a try if you find yourself in the Denver area!

I've had Fresh Chef in several times and have always had a "meh" experience. Let me just real quick break down my experience to you.As far as location, there's several within the Charlotte area. The one I've been to the most would be the Denver location for both dining in, take out, and catering. Parking is easy and several seating in the space. As far as the ambiance, just think of it as fast casual. It kinda has a food chain type feel to it. Here, I've ordered several things:Shrimp and Grits:It was a dinner portion and definitely a good size and fairly priced. Definitely not the healthiest option if you're looking to shed a few pounds. However, the grits were creamy and warm. The shrimps were a good meaty size. However, a bit too salty for my liking. It was alright--but I don't think I would order it again. Grilled Hawaiian Chicken with Cilantro Rice:I ordered this as a lunch portion. Flavors were ok. This was $13 the chicken definitely was small and dry. The marinade on it was not bad but could definitely use a little more sauce considering the chicken was on the drier end. The cilantro rice was alright but pretty flavorless in my opinion. Being that I am Asian, I guess I can be a bit particular in how I like my rice (silent laughter). I did like the grilled pineapple slice that came with it on time. Definitely a nice touch and probably my favorite part of the dish. It added a sweet, charred, tangy flavor that I love. Teriyaki Steak:I had this for catering several times. I definitely is juicy and tender!! They do such a great job with their teriyaki steaks. Last time we ordered it for catering our schools event, I was however disappointed to see several pieces of my steak on the skewer were pretty much rare. That was the first time it's happened so maybe it was accidental. Kale Salad:I also had this for catering several times as well. It's crisp, refreshing and lemony! It's definitely preferred as a side item and I don't know if I could eat the kale salad as an entree! It's usually way to much kale for me! Overall,This place is ok! It's not bad and if it was catered at event, I'll gladly eat it! Will I go out of my way to order it on my own? Probably not. Will I recommend it to others for catering? Probably not. But if Fresh Chef just happens to be the only dining option at the moment for whatever reason, I'm satisfied.

Almost everything ordered was on the money. My Teriyaki Wrap was very good, just not as hot as usual and maybe a little less taste. In regards to the latter, I might have ordered it wrong. As far as the Cheeseburger and Blackened Chicken, excellent! Fries are good, not great. Brownie Ice Cream (Whip Cream included) is amazing! Service was as good as it gets. And the place is spotless. Even when I walked by the kitchen, I was in awe of the cleanliness. This is a place you go to try many different menu items on different trips. You will always have a great meal, and you will sometimes have an exceptional meal. The Fresh Chef people definitely know how to run a restaurant. Highly recommend!

I came here for lunch today with a friend and felt it was just average.I got the chicken salad sandwich which was just weird. It had cranberries and nuts in it, which I normally don't eat my chicken salad that way, and it was too sweet. I understand cranberries are sweet but this chicken salad was so sweet to the point it tasted like a ton of additional sugar was added. Would not get again. I also got a Caesar salad with my sandwich instead of fries and loved it. It was huge and didn't cost any extra to substitute. Too bad the sandwich wasn't good, because $10 for that huge of a lunch is an incredible value. Service was incredibly lacking. Our water cups were empty practically the whole time, and the waitress gave us our check in the middle of us eating. She didn't ask if we wanted dessert or anything, felt very rushed. Also. there was a credit card fee on our bill, which isn't a big deal but there was no signage up informing patrons about that. My friend paid with cash and the waitress still charged her the credit card fee. In summary I might come back, definitely would be getting a different entree, but won't be rushing back.

I'm extremely disappointed. I had family in town for the new year and made them wait until 11 to eat breakfast on New Years Day. It was really embarrassing waiting outside while they refused to unlock the doors and open on time. Then have to scramble to find somewhere else to eat which ended being East Coast Wings across the lot. At least they actually unlock their doors during operating hours. I will never count on this restaurant again. I have worked in the restaurant industry and understand how infuriating it is to see guests stalking the door for opening time, but never in my time was it ok to just simply not open until I was in the mood.
