Freedom Weekend Aloft

Ok watching the hot air ballons take off was great... bands were so so... the promoters killed the weekend by raising ticket prices so high. $20 during the day $25 after 4pm. I wonder who sits on the board and says.. $100 for a family of four.. that seems reasonable. I understand there cost, and I understand there is risk (event was totally rained out in 2010 and they still had to pay for everything) There are 3 ways the promoters make money at this event... entry tickets, beer sales and percentage of food sales... two of the three had to be low as the numbers were cut in half (at least) from the year before... It is a great well run event.. just way over priced. They included the rides in the ticket price, but most of the older people could care less about the rides.... treat this like a fair... hand stamps for rides..Lower cost to get in.... have a family discount... Oh by they way parking cost as well.... think people think
